Just found this content. Ora Woodman was my great grandfather, Pansy ( Nucky) was my grandmother. Thank you for this, very clear time line of his escapades. There are far more family stories, he was a true character.

@@chasingbilly Of course. You will have to understand, all the stories I know are third or fourth hand. I am the youngest of the great grand kids so I never met either my great grandfather or my grandmother. My father was pretty influenced by his mom though, he was a rodeo rider in the RCA before there was a pro RCA, he also ran mules in the grand canyon for the Park service .

Fascinating, and it seems that Woodman influenced Oliver P. Roberts to reach even greater heights in fantastical claims. He seems the prototype, the standard for how to invent a life that the most accomplished, genuine historical western figures could never live up to. The most amazing accomplishments of all is the number of people who bought into it, contradictions aside. Or still do, in the case of Oliver P. Roberts! Nicely done, and thanks for the education!

Notice how his wild claims closely resemble those of Roberts.

How did you info about kit Carson over been looking into j frank dalton when he was burned the body next to him said jesse james and when they took up the body they took that body not daltons the body had one arm .what are chances that a body next to dalton would have a body saying jesse james when dalton was tell everyone he was james .you think any thing about this if you knew about it.theres a picture of frank james with a one arm next to him who looks like jesse .maybe the real jesse didn't die in 1882 and lived like some people say.have you heard the story about how he faked his death.have you heard about the two Jesse's one in Kentucky one in Missouri so the law would leave him alone it sounds good but I'm so confused about this .james was a member of the kgc and all the gold hidden in the west and south for the next war civil war 2.i have pictures I think of dalton when he was young .do you know anything about Lee hank the guy that was with dalton selling his story .or the black book jesse james was one of his names there out of print but to get a book it will cost you about 4 hundred dollars on ebay or 50 if you get a reprint on amazon.people use it for treasure hunting .crazy story's in it for sure.
