This was an awesome interview. I love Mikes story and he has helped me a lot with my recovery. I still have yet to read his book but its definitely on my list to read soon!

Seems like the "celebs" that have been on the podcast that have had drug issues, never worked real jobs. I suggest going to be a landscaper for 6 months, then go work fast food for 6 months, then be a nurses aid and work in a nursing home. In order to appreciate life and what you have and realize how short life is, you have to work in these jobs. The fabric of life requires real work, sacrifice, and appreciation. Celebs sharing drugs will never get you to that place.

I have to admit, when Mike started reading his afterthoughts from his book. I was outright crying. That hit me in a way I can't explain. With multiple family members that have od'd and died. And my own struggles, that meant so much. Im gonna have to buy his book. Thank you Steve-O and thank you Mike. Yalls efforts are never underestimated.....

Just playing devils advocate, but I think he meant more in the sense of all the connotations that go along with the word celebrity. The stereotypical celebrity would be someone that wears designer clothes, only interacts with people more famous than them, is an egotistical sociopath, etc, etc. I think Mike was hinting at the fact that Steveo seems more down to earth, and not that Steveo isn't literally a celebrity. Steveo is of course more famous than Mike.
More Steve-O talking, less Mike talking please. Just a balance would have been nice.

I don't "hate" Mike, not at all.
Seen MANY of the Impaulsive podcasts and think that he's intelligent, somewhat entertaining and a decent humanbeing at the end of the day.
Lots of potential.
BUT he can be *truly* insufferable to listen to,
soo much of this pod was him talking about all the ah-mAaZiN'! things he's accomplished, how cRaAaAZy his life has been
(and truly expects people to react with an "oh my goood, raellllly? that's insaaane!"), who he knows, slept with, in some tiny abstract way is kinda connected with (you know, Joe Rogan's guy.. Funniest name drop I've heard in a while).
He's too far up his own ass and unsurprisingly *loves* the smell.
But hey, atleast he's not Logan Paul!
This felt a bit like Steve-O was a modest Scandinavian farmer from 50 years ago that somehow time-travelled and landed in current day LA,.
Just sitting on the ground in awe, trying to figure out if Mike is real or if he accidentally licked another frog before going to sleep, also when does the talking stop?
Now I know I sound very salty, but after years of listening to how self absorbed he can be, barely lets anyone else get a word in (and when they do he doesn't really listen) he can get on your nerves pretty fast.
Was actually expecting this to be a good pod, was very interested in their dynamic and what topics they'd discuss but they forgot they're on Mike's show now and ironically too much of Mike's talking greatly increases chance of relapse.
Only thing worse than acting like Mike is probably sitting on the internet and writing comments like these.

Where? Crime rates had a significant drop rate in Austin this year. Last year Texas met the average crime rate nationally. It's not out of control but downtown city centers all have this issue across the US. I personally don't living in a suburb in north Texas.
Mike you rule man I’m 27 I just lost my dad this month from cancer and breathing issues, I lost my sister 3 months ago. I lost my mom at 13 after she fought lung cancer for a year. I’m moving to Colorado with my best friend next month and I wanna say I’ve been watching since the beginning of impaulsive and been along for the night shift ride for quite awhile now. You’ve really been an amazing human being to watch and get motivated by. This shit is crazy bro. Flying space rock people.

That over the top positivity about being still being clean is pretty common when someone relapses and is worried someone knows. Been there.
