The Amazing Spider-Man: Music From The Motion Picture is the soundtrack for the film of the same title, The Amazing Spider-Man, by Marc Webb. It was composed and conducted by James Horner, and was released on July 3, 2012, the day of the feature film's release.
James Horner was hired to compose the film's music because director Marc Webb described his way of composing as spectacular. Webb said that he wanted to find a composer to understand both grandeur and intimacy, and he thought Horner was a genius at it.
