I just bought this car few days ago, in Czechia. Its amazing. After driving Škoda Felicia for 5 years, this is a huge upgrade for me! :D Thanks for the review mate.
richiepaidsotv I'm thinking of getting one, too. They're remarkably cheap to buy, aren't they. My Ka is on its last legs and I've shortlisted one of these for next year.
liverush24 mate, get one asap. I paid £2.3k for mine. It's a wonderful car, feels very strong and reliable. I'm not one really into the engines etc but since owning this car, I find myself opening the bonet, checking oil levels etc. Infact, I'm gonna do some maintenance work on it in a few hours! ;)
richiepaidsotv Yeah, good habit to get into. If you look after the oily bits it should go on for ever. I've been checking out insurance costs and road tax costs and it's cheaper than I thought. So I'll very likely be getting one of these. I'll check back here when I get one. Cheers.
I am now checking back in, as promised, because I did get one in April last year. A 2002 1.4 vvti, 78,000 miles & full service history. £900 with 11 months MOT. EDIT - It's a 3-door T3.
I have that model its my first car , love the styling of the 3dr more sleek just as much space , I have the automatic model because i have motor co ordination problems and dyspraxia , The auto version in 3 door is pretty rare hace not seen another one on motors uk , auto trader , i have had it 1 year or so ,it has only 85000 miles on the engine. Everyone goes on about yaris but that was too small for me ,I was parked next to one the other day looked tiny next to the corolla
Great video. I just bought 05 version gotta say i love it shes 16yrs young only 69k miles on clock full service history and 1 owner from new we old man. My very 1st car was a 92/93 Toyota Corolla so after going to my huge 2.5lts iv went back to my roots lol iv very stiff suspension in her makes it lot easier and by time im done be like my last full show car. Id recommend it Toyota 1 of best cars out there iv had vw skoda seat all cost me crazy money but my Toyotas never let me down so il be keeping this for many yrs to come hopefully.
I've had my '54 Corolla T3 for two years, & I'm happy to report it's running as perfectly as it did on the day I bought it....... for only £1200!! As a canny Scot, it's a no brainier for me to keep it as long as I can, because it's only cost me the very very basic bills, like tax, insurance, mot, & one interim service so far! I honestly can't remember the last time it needed an oil, or coolant top-up! When the time comes, I fully expect to recoup my original costs, because I know I got it dirt cheap, & they're all over Auto trader, for £1500-2000!!
Top review mate. I have exactly the same car/model/year, but mine has the charcoal/blue seats and the slightly more powerful 1.6 VVTi (109 bhp). I liked the dig at Ford, as I have always refused to go with the flow and get something a bit different. It makes buying a car a bit more challenging, but I can't have that "not another one" feeling.
Hello mate your video is very good to me and thanks I’m buying one of these and the video is so helpful my uncle has a 1.8 t-sport commpressor and it’s got 190 power on it’s very important to me this video and the 1.4 is quiet and realible And I’m buying em one or another day Thank you
Looked at a 2006 1.4 VVTi with 125k some years ago and still sounded good. I walked away because it had missing service history and a very poor body repair. Fortunately found another 1.4 VVTi with just 48k on it at the time and it's nearly done 75k now. Corolla's always do what you want it do and that's being cheap to run and being very reliable.
@@jaggass I dont have it anymore but it was a great car, the engine sounded awesome, i loved to go into high rpm with it, engine was taking my beating like it was nothing. Super reliable car.
I have 2006 corolla with 1.4 vvti 350000km done some times on autobahn with 5000rpm for over an hour and this engine doesn't want to give up just changing oil at 9000km.
@@diekaltemilch I don't think so. I'm long legged 185cm and I wouldn't want to be much taller because in my manual because of legs touching the steering wheel
Bare on mind the 1.8 is not a standard car that's a 1.8 t sport model which has 190bhp or around that figure and it's expensive on insurance specially new drivers. As it's not the basic corolla it's like a hind civic type r .
My 2002 Corolla has alot of interior rattles. And it has a big gap in the top centre of the dash above the heater vents. Which I soon realized seems to be a common problem with these Corollas
Hi, Hope you are well. I am looking to purchase one as my fairly new skoda fully loaded diesel is starting to develop DPF issues. will you be so kind to answer few of my questions? 1)what's the suspension(ride) like? is it soft or stiff suspension? is it a comfortable car? 2) i hear a lot of wind noise in the video. Did you leave the window open or the cabin is a bit noisy? is the noise insulation good on this car? 3) Reliability, How reliable is it? has anything gone wrong? apparently these cars have rust and wheel bearing issues,. Did you have to deal with any of those? 4) have you driven any other cars to compare it with? would you recommend this car to a friend or a family member? 1.4 vvti or 1.6 vvti which one do you think would be better? thats all i can think of for now. if you can be as thorogh as possible with your answers, that will really help me.e.g. copy paste my question and write your answer beneath it please. I need to hear it from an actual owner what its like to own this car. many thanks.
Woah the 1.8 VVTi Petrol boasts 187 hp?!? I only have the 1.4 VVTi version, and i'm surprised with it's power, i'd love to try out the 1.8 version hahaha
