In this video I have a previous commercial use Expedition which actually came with aftermarket center console. Originally from factory it came without the middle console.
So I am showing how to cut the flooring, location of mounting bracket screw holes, install of middle console mounting brackets and in the end how to insert and install that factory Ford Expedition console.
It is a bit longer video, but it should at least give you an idea what has to be done, even if you are only replacing the removing the existing middle console.

I took mine off and the passenger seat to fit a twin bed for camping. Back seats removed too for storage. Great truck 👌

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I already sold this Expedition, but I used expanding foam to seal the hole, then cut it straight and on top of it I taped velcro tape. Looked pretty good. I also have a video on how to install 3rd row seats into commercial Expedition, check it out if planning to expand the seating
Thanks very much for the video! I just had a question. So I purchased the same console and bought the same Ford expedition that was commercially used. However the center console that I bought from the junk yard (they take out the part for you) did not come with the two metal brackets to attach the console to the SUV's floor. Do you know what to do in this case? Is there another way to install the console without the 2 brackets? Thanks!
No problem. Thanks for watching. Unfortunately you will need the brackets. Try going back to the salvage and ask for the brackets. They are still most likely attached to the vehicle
Thanks for the great video! How do you plug in the electronics that are a part of the console (such as the air conditioning controls and 12v electrical socket)? Were you able to get these to work on the new console that you installed?
Thanks for watching. Regarding the electronics it all depends on the trim of the Expedition you are installing the middle console. In my case it was commercial / ex police unit so there was no wiring for the electronics. That means the wiring would have to be pulled probably from the fuse box to have this working. On higher trims you might be just missing a connecting wiring harness and that's all

Hi, if you are installing middle console in a previous police or commercial vehicle it is doable but probably a lot of work. Those cars are missing bunch of wiring, harnesses, etc. Also they strip them before selling to the public and cut bunch of things. You would have to get all the missing wiring harnesses, figure out wiring through diagrams and pull bunch of new wires. A good car electrician could help you out. If you are just replacing the middle console in a regular Expedition all wiring should be there or if lower trim level you could get missing wiring through Ford dealer
@@QuiteAlrightyou think i can just wire tape it to the front one and match the wires colour would do the trick?
Or it just better to not do it and miss with wires!
@@imamalbalochi2969 Well honestly I am not too good with wiring so I take all my vehicles to a friend who is car electrician and he takes care of everything. So I don't know how to answer that question without giving you wrong info

With your knowledge would you be able to use a center console from an older year such as 2008 in a 2011 truck?
I think it should fit from 2007 - 2014. That's the third generation of Expedition. They did some interior modifications in these years such as 3rd row seatbelts, but I'm pretty sure they haven't changed the middle console
I have a 2011 center console in my 2008.
