Rock fishing & Drone Fishing the Coromandel

- Leaving home at midnight to be set up before the suns up the truck was packed and away we went. Driving the peninsular in search of both a rock ledge that was not taken and an area that would hold clear water.
We arrive while dark and start the process of targeting the ever elusive Kahawai for live bait... Using methods like slidebaiting, float or balloon fishing to hopefully target the always welcome Yellow Tail Kingfish.
We then set off to test fly the new A22 Condor drone from @paulsfishingsystems testing the mechanical release mechanism and add to the catch some beautiful eating size snapper and kahawai.

What a catch, who needs a boat

Came in yesterday and bought the swellpro FD1. Had a little play in the paddock then took it on the beach.
Used bait that had been sitting in the freezer for a year or two 😬.
Hubby was hesitant about sending it too far so was 150m and 220m first couple of fly’s. I pushed him to do a 500m set and when we pulled it in we had four decent snapper!
Was so exciting.
We put the smallest back as there were only four of us at home and three snapper was plenty for a feed.
Thank you so much for honest straight up information that got us catching fish.
