I think you couldn't crucify rush due to the fact it was a curiously-powered crucifix specific for the rooms entities and not doors entites as guiding light and curiosu light are two seperate spirits within the doors realms.
The reason why the candle and crucifix are yellow instead of blue because guiding light isn't present in the rooms to help you! Instead Satan is there and he's the guy who gives the messages when you die!
