I'm so sick of the Martha jokes. People didn't understand the significance of the scene and make fun of it. He was screaming, because he taught the alien was trying to trick him, confuse him by hitting the spot that hurts Bruce the most. Then he learns that that was his mother's name. The alien has a human mother here on Earth that he cares about, so much, that he tells the one who will kill him to go save her. And that's why he gave up killing him and became friends with Sups, because he realised he was more human than he thought, not because their mothers have the same name.
"There was a time above... a time before... there were perfect things... diamond absolutes. But things fall... things on earth. And what falls... is fallen. In the dream, it took me to the light. A beautiful lie."

gosh listening to this again i can still remember the first time i watched this movie in theaters. I teared up at the beginning, and I seriously felt like i was watching an epic comic book movie that was not only respecting its audience but the characters as well while giving them a new realistic take. It was a great Shakespearean revenge tragedy story. very deep and philosophical. I can actually take superman and batman and their capes seriously unlike in Disney Marvel where everyone's trying to out one liner each other in their happy meal flicks.

"I bet your parents taught you that you mean something, that you're here for a reason. My parents taught me a different lesson, dying in the gutter for no reason at all... They taught me the world only makes sense if you force it to."
In this scene, bruce wayne is falling both literally and metaphorically (with his parents death), and the music reflects this by going down the scale. Pretty awesome, hans zimmer is a genius
I loved her, she was a girl. But the distance and time made it all the difference. The pain and sorrow i feel. She lives within my walls of my imagination now. She is not, a little girl now, therefore. She lives on, our cowardly episode remains. What a beautiful lie it was. All along, creeping beside me a shadow, ceased, I'm hers no more. -love JDC
This is by far the most emotional and touching batman theme ever.... it really makes us feel his pain.
Inner demon batman arkham knight for me is way better...just caught the essence of batman and his inner fights...
This theme brings me tears for I can feel batman's pain and rage and even hearing him screaming out to Superman "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME????!!!!!!!"
