I went to Laos so many times I never got into such crazy action act like this because I care about myself and my money. I believe that this guy was not careful enough and not smart enough to be alone in a lawless country. Vacationing in Laos is safe if you can avoid being crazy for those young girls, old women, young men and old men. I love the fresh fruit in Laos more than anything else.
Agreed, troubles only comes to those who seeks for. Overall Laos is a great place for vacationing. Haven't been there but should I do, at the least I know what to look for.
Tsisnco Lawm i went to laos 3times with my wife,because she wanted to know, where i came from, how i lived, and grew up as a lao born...i'd told her, life over there is so freakin hard, they worked all day from dusk til dawn every day for the rest of their life without rest.. she doesn't know our struggles in laos and the poverty they face daily, because she's an american..we got there and i told my aunty that her nyab wanted to experience the life of a hmong woman, (my auny said, ''me tub tsam nws sab sab os, txhob cia nws uas mog'')..we went to farm with my aunt at her rice farm on the hill side(10 plus acres)..she almost died just 20 minutes of pulling weeds, but now she has a clearer picture of our lives in laos.. laos is a beautiful place to visit or tour without worry,if you go there with good intention..you hear hmong american go there and died, because they act like they're the shit or politics..my uncle was killed during a visit to laos too, because he was telling our relatives to better themselves in political purposes..he was poisoned at the restaurant he was dining..he ate this one dish as soon as he swallowed it, he start to choke and died within seconds blood pouring from his mouth and all his finger nail turned purple..if you go to laos there's really no danger unless you put yourself in danger..i encourage all my hmong brothers and sisters to visit this beautiful land, which was once our home..please take my advice!! just go there with good intention and there's no danger, danger only exist if you are looking for it, but be smart think before you acted...good luck..
Tsisnco Lawm good choice brother..if you married someone from there, you're nothing but the contributor...she's like a baby bird helpless in every way..hmong men married women over sea, so they can control, mode them to what they like, and most of all obey them as king...hehhehe, my wife doesn't like going there either, she's scared of the bathroom..she went to the bathroom on my aunt's rice field and stepped on poop...she almost die, i had to wash it for her,sine then she'll only stay at a hotel and visit the relatives..it's probably easier for your wife to cope in laos than mine, cause she white and never seen hardship like that, til we went there..

when I looked at the video, alot of people there. Sound like all them enjoy of what zeb trying to kill Alain. I still heard the background someone said please kill him now or kill him. It is very bother me when these people have done nothing to stop for this abusing. they look very amusement for zeb torture Alain like animal. It look like all these people are very happy for what zeb has done. This is so humilate people. we should never tolerate this kind of abusing to human being. my friend, thank you for all your comments, when you look at the video, it look like not only Mr. Yang was abusing Alain, but all those people surrounding there seem be all them were abusing him. Can you feel it. No matter what, we are still human being an need to be treat acording to rule and law. The act here is acting like animal. Please Hmong people no matter where you live, you just can take the law into your own hand. If you are some kind of person who is a stereo type and jealousy that someone who has more money and more knowlege than you than you should need to be educate. In my opinion, most Hmong people here this country in the United State are very nice and very understandable people. They do not toture their spouse, less use force other to love you, generous give money to help the poor people, help their relative back in Laos thousands of dollar, and very polite people and so on..... I haven't seem any other countries Hmong people have been given and done more than hmong here America have done for lHmong in this world. As all you may know that no one is perfect but at least the majority has done something good. Again, no matter you are a hmong who live in Laos, in America, and other countries in this world, the act in this video is way beyond and it should not be tolerate. This is so wrongful of ALL the HMONG Laos who were present and witness Zeb abused Aleev. No one stood up and stopped Zeb. According to the video, all the people who stood there were happy and no one seemed to feel guilty. This is a crime and all those who witness and present at the scene are all guilty along with Zeb!
I've heard through the grapevine that Vince was still married to his wife when he went overseas and married this girl. I guess it's a vicious never-ending cycle. It could also be a possibility that Zeb is trafficking this girl for monetary purposes. This is a sad sad world.

Hmoob brethren, this is a decease in our Hmoob community as a whole(body). To solve the issue at hand, it's wise that we know where or how this decease occurred . If we truly love ourselves, do not try to destroy ourselves via other mean which does not resolve the problem.
To tell y'all the true, we need to adhere to international laws regarding tourist's right and the host country(Laos). Tourist have certain rights, but at the same time, must adhere to laws of the host country. Can't say who is right or wrong regarding the accusation regarding Ge Yang and Alain Lee, but the assault seem by this video is not the proper way to handle the problem and a violation of international laws. This is a problem that rest with the Laotian government, and they need to address/resolve if they want to host or promote future tourist between the US and Laos.
For me, Laos was a beautiful country, raise and grew up there 'til I was six and left the country. Never gone back to Laos after the war, but would like to see some of my cousins who are still there. Other than that, I would not want to go for any other reasons. Heard too many stories of government corruption, extortion and many people there still haven't forgive and forget after the war. People just need to move on and don't hold onto the past. There is a time for war but there is also a time for peace. We are now at peace and need to be peaceful with everyone. Let the problem that occurred be resolve by the laws and authority of Laos and our government. Peace people.

This Zeb Yaj claims to have killed Americans since 1975. He is a Viet Cong, a red commie. All those people egging him on for blood are commies and Viet Congs. Zeb treated Hmong Americans and all Americans as his enemy. They still hold this grudge against us Hmong Americans.

C'est choquant de voir que tout autour de cette scène de violence certains témoins et spectateurs veulent voir le sang Hmong Meka coulé. Pourquoi cette violence physique et verbale? Car nos frères et soeurs hmong Lao sont considérés comme des moins que rien. Le riche hmong meka revient et achète tout, voir même les femmes des autres. Le plus précieux pour un hmong c'est la famille c'est à dire sa femme et ses enfants et son clan. Si les bases s'effondrent on voit ce genre de violence de Zeb et Alain. A qui la faute? De Zeb, oui car il a usé la violence même si dans cette histoire il est considéré comme un "escroc".mais le grand fautif et coupable est Alain, il a usé de sa condition(pouvoir de l'argent) et il a abusé de nos lois ancestrale. Le troisième coupable est nos coutumes ancestrale hmong qui ne sont plus adapté et inapproprié dans ce début de 21 ème siècle.
