In my area my cumulative property tax , due to more than one lot ,is 45,000 and 2/3 of that is school tax for schools you wouldn’t want to send your kids to, where who knows what they are being taught. It all has been going bad a long time. I need to move or walk away after 30 years, on it.
I support a family of five and lost my job last month. I'm not getting unemployment and keep getting excuses. It's very mentally taxing. I do have 2 job interviews this week. The best to everyone out there struggling.
I've thought that since around 1990. I've often voted third party. Trump is too dangerous, so Democrats only since 2016, but otherwise, we need bigger better third parties or a complete redesign of how our elections work.
Yep and it breaks most families. My sister married to a rich bankers son overpaid to over appraise real estate has to work double shifts to pay more car debt to drive to work seven days a week. She tried to gas light me with, why don't you work work work more so you can buy a house and get married? I told her it's a failed system only dragging us and our country down in debt based racket sure to result in a full blown civil war collapse. She wouldn't text any longer after 2021. It's like she's his slave while he's just plugging numbers into his compute about 4 hours a day for that's what I seen every time I visited them deciding to quit going there about 10 years ago. He agrees with me that the country is ruined out of evil's chaos, but only in text messaging for he's a coward. That's basically the fundamental why we're divided and why it's exhausting. If I had a country, I'd head on home now.
All of Europe has long been taxes more than the US . When you listen to a European lay out all the ways they are taxed they sound like they are going mad .
As i get older i find myself wanting less and less. It just doesn't make sense to put yourself in debt trying optain materialistic items causing more stress than happiness in the long run.
For those of us with children, the driving force is to make sure they don’t wind up homeless. If you’re a single person I can understand that mentality
To be fair, as an example, when we were young we could buy a car for a thousand bucks and if it rolled and had lights on each corner, you could get it registered and drive it. With all the regulations, in the name of 'safety', those days are over. The young are enslaved to a vehicle payment, maintenance and insurance (full coverage) just to get to a min wage job. My first vehicle was a 63 Dodge pickup that I saved up bailing hay and paid $600 for it and drove it for several years to get to school and work. I miss that truck.
Since Biden took office, there seem to have been more unfavorable results in America. These results include effects on the markets, such as price declines and sharp increases in inflation, as well as bank failures. I wonder if the sudden increase in interest rates will help value investors or if it would be wiser to stay away from the stock and financial markets for the time being.
To "buy the dip" It will be profitable in the long run. However, investors should be wary of the bull run. It is advisable to connect with a skilled adviser to fulfill your growth objectives and prevent mistakes. High interest rates typically result in lower stock prices.
Hello, pls how can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

I live in one of the cheapest states in one of the cheapest cities. Been looking for a house an even small 1500 sqft 3 bed 1 bath homes are going for 200k. We offer up to 11k over asking and still get outbid on every house. The homes that we do get to inspections for, come back filled with termites or nasty roofs. Every house is a flip and has splattered paint. So now at 29 with wife and kid, we moved in with my parents with zero debt cars fullly paid off both parents working and can’t find a home. Insane.
Right now is a terrible time to buy anyway so you made a good decision. Once the economy slows down soon house prices are going to come down by a lot, some people are saying like 30% or more
@@zachdebuhr6347 pure speculation. It’s entirely possible the home prices keep going up. It’s awful that you have to guess when is the right time to buy a house though.
I'm 36, never married, homeless since the pandemic, and living in an old Toyota Sienna minivan now, despite working, and not addicted to drugs. I don't know how much more I can endure.
Guys an advice: connect with NATURE. Stay and play with your pets and kids more in nature- connect connect with nature and other humans. The politicians and their owners want us divided and scared. Connect. Especially to nature.
I am a truck driver , owner/operator. I own my land, my house, my cars , my truck and trailer. The rates we are hauling freight now for are unbelievably low. However, the prices of everything have skyrocketed. They say, one of the causes is “transportation cost increased”. It is a big LIE. I literally just roll my wheels strictly in order to survive. I avoid leaving my little farm. Seems like every time I head to the store , another $100 is gone. I have lived in this country since 1994 (legal immigrant), I still remember that back then, $100 would cover our food for one week (family of three cooking home). This country is in need for drastic changes.
I moved to US in 2002 and I remember spending $100 and my cart was full to the top. We were making less money but had more. Now we make more money but have less and less... it's so sad. America is not what it once was 😞
This channel isn't gloom & doom! It's one of the only places I'm hearing honesty about the economy. The rosy economic reports from mainstream outlets over the past year haven't squared at all with my experience after being laid off in March 2023. It's a relief to know I'm not imagining things. My situation is pretty precarious right now, and being stressed and depressed for a year has definitely started to impact my physical health. I appreciate you getting the word out.
For boomers and senior citizens, the current market and economy are unnecessarily harder. I'm used to simply purchasing and holding assets, which doesn't seem applicable to the current volatile market, and inflation is catching up with my portfolio. My biggest concern is whether I'll survive after retirement.
Yes, gold is a great investment and a good bet against the devaluating dollar, been holding some for awhile now, I’m grateful my adviser’s moment by moment changes in the market are lightening quick, cos who know how much losses I would’ve had by now.
I am old and this is the worst time in my life and I have lived through some hard times ...but this is really hard to serve ..everything cost more then you can make ..I really feel bad for the young people who or just getting started in life
Same here. I am 63 and thankfully never had children, so I'm OK. I've also never seen the USA this bad. Retirement in one year and then I'm out of here. It's so sad.
So foreigners have stopped making the United States stuff for free . Reshoring gonna be expensive . Bye bye middle class. The rest of the world finally said ENOUGH!!,

Exactly. Much as I empathize, there’s only concern now because more Whites are being affected. Nobody cared when Black Americans were financially strapped and sick as a result.

I'm a truck driver by trade, but I do the types of trucking that few people consider. It's hard, dangerous, and can be scary as hell sometimes. But it pays well and that's why I do it. My 'new' pickup is 27 years old. I drive old cars that I can fix myself. My mortgage payment is 1400 a month on a 3.5 interest rate and I owe about 100k left on it. I have no credit card debt, and I live at or below my means. In addition to that I have a decent amount of savings. All that being said, I feel very damn fortunate. I'm just a regular middle class guy, but I feel like I'm very well off compared to most folks. The thing of it is that EVERYONE should be comfortable with their living situation. That's how it's supposed to be. At least it was a couple decades ago.
The risks and sacrifice you make, has determined your success. Many people are unwilling to make such sacrifice and risk. And then they wonder why they can't get ahead. I'm in the same boat as you. But it has not been easy. Many scary times I've been through as you have.
Daytona Beach in the 1970s and mid 1980s was nice in August. General Motors shut down for 2 weeks for model change every August. After i had over 20 years seniority i drove to Clearwater in mid April and can't remember bad weather at anytime. Now Daytona is a dump.
Remember when 100k was like the goal salary that people would consider themselves successful at? Now that is barely even middle class in most places lol.

Inflation is causing some serious damage to Americans. I talked to our local grocery store manager yesterday who told me frozen veggies are up 300% in the past 3 years!! Better batten down the hatches!

And you never talk about how the inflation is affecting Seniors. A 3% increase of nothing is pretty much nothing. Seniors SS has lost over 35% of its buying power. Seniors are living some 10,000 dollars below the poverty level.
My husband and I are in early to mid 70's. We retired & moved about 10 years ago. We did all the "right" things. Lived below our means, lived in mobile home, didn't take expensive vacations, saved when we could, lived on a budget, stayed loyal to our employers when times were tough. We are sitting pretty much comfortably. However, every time we go to the grocery store the prices increase. I/we don't know how people with children are going to make it with everything coming down the road. We already see homeless and ppl living in their cars.... It is going to get rough in the near future for so many. Be it Trickle down from Reagan or Bidenomics, the middle class has been screwed. Corporations don't care about workers, they pay starvation wages
I lived the same way as you, I denied myself impulse purchases, avoided credit card debt. Bought and paid for a house, and didn't try to impress anyone but myself. Government could learn a lot from us, it's spending way to much money it doesn't have. Inflation is a tax on the middle class.

I literally live below the poverty level. I have side hustles and sell online. I have my hone and car paid for. Started storing essentials 2 years ago. No extras. It can be done if you live frugal.
I was in financial ruin years ago. I sacrificed what I had to. Eating out, buying things I really didn't need, etc. I looked at my situation and set small goals. It may seem like you're not getting anywhere but each goal you achieve puts you better than before.
Michael, you mentioned the sole provider of a household and the stress involved. I have no debt other than monthly expenses, rent, medical bills, weekly groceries and I am struggling big time. Additionally my employer put a hold on reviews and salary increase two years ago which was and is a gut punch and the current direction of the economy is killing me. Find a new job is impossible. All the roles I have applied for are just black holes, with even a "sorry a no thank you from potential employers. I am in a increasing losing position every month. I am tapped out and losing ground. This economy and your government needs to be fixed.
Into year 11 of my husband's single income providing for our family of five. He's only made $100k one time & our family has never felt poor. Homeschooling, living as debt free & off grid as possible, homesteading, church family, growing our own food & being as self sustaining as possible. It's not easy but wow has it been worth it to sacrifice....
People will never be debt free! If you’re fortunate enough in retirement to own a home or a car and have them paid off, you will still owe yearly property taxes, DMV registration fees and insurance premiums, not to mention your monthly utilities and essentials for survival.
Dave's advice doesn't work for people who are living paycheck to paycheck. If you go and pay yourself first, you're likely to be short on your rent, car payment, food, etc. I know I am living the lowest standard I possibly can without being homeless. There's just no room for that.
Anything will help. Specially if you’re young. 10 dollars a month is way better than zero. Pay yourself first. The compound interest effect is the eighth wonder of the world.

While being at the beach or in front of a fire won't solve your problems, you have time to reflect. I think if most people were honest with themselves they could tackle their problems.
Time to reflect, is how they control us. Look at the situation Mike is spelling out, family of 4 indebt, everything is more expensive. And now they somehow have all this free time to reflect on their situation...... It's a beautiful thing we truly appreciate, the time to sit and reflect, in the olden days, people would call that praying. Speaking within yourself to your creator. Finding the problems you created and help figure out solutions to not repeat them. Today spiritual people call that meditation. Others call it reflection inwards. Whatever it's called I agree, we can change a lot by going inward and focusing on solutions that are in betterment of the world around us. . . the mainstream media's economic "gaslighting" , & the POTUS telling Americans we "have the money to spend" is definitely not instilling confidence in the economy, or relieving stress.
Yes, if you listen to the main stream media, and the stupid government telling you every day that everything is great. And you don’t feel that it’s great, it’s gonna cost stress. Don’t rely on the media and the government to tell you how you should feel. You know your own circumstances. Get your head out of your butt and pay attention. Think for yourself. You can’t live in denial about your situation. People are starting to wake up but not fast enough.
Its mainly corporations jacking up prices for additional profit at this point. The raw material costs are not forcing these increases. There isn't much the goverment can do to fix this besides keeping rates higher to keep pressure on the economy. If they relieved that pressure, inflation would skyrocket. Eventually as consumers continue to back off spending, the corporations will be forced to lower pricess but this is a very slow process. The sad part is this hurts those at the bottom the most.
No inflation is mainly caused by the FED printing money. During Covid there were trillions printed thus we have massive inflation coming. Listen to Michael, Peter Schiff, Milton Friedman, etc

Hey Michael. In Canada, mortgage terms are typically 5 years. This means that borrowers have to renew and reset significantly more often than borrowers in the USA. That basically means renewals happen much faster such that 20% of loans on average need to be reset every year, at least with the conventional banks. People often need to seek out alternative mortgage sources as a result, which quite often comes with higher rates to compensate.

Financial stress comes and goes with the economic cycle. The CPI doesn't mean lower prices; prices will still rise; just at a lower rate. I remember the stressful times raising a family and worrying about the economy during many downturns in the previous century, the internet bubble and the Great Recession. I was the single-earner for our family, and, yes, the stress was there and I don't think that the rest of the family understood that stress. LIVING IN THE USA IS EXHAUSTING, PAY PAY PAY, WE LIVE TO PAY BILLS

Agreed. All one needs is a single wide manufactured home, lazy boy chair, 55” TV and a refrigerator full of cold beer.

Insane.
I think that's a wise move given where things are headed and hope everyone can get along
Right now is a terrible time to buy anyway so you made a good decision. Once the economy slows down soon house prices are going to come down by a lot, some people are saying like 30% or more

Why would you want to buy a home? You can't budget if you have no cost control or predictability.
You don't want to ......I have the best rate with VA at 6.62% that's 130% over 30 yrs ..DONT THANK ME FOR MY SERVICE EVER AGIN ITS A JOKE AND IT AINT FUNNY !
My husband makes 24$ an hour as a new police officer, we have no support and no family to watch our son for free so I can go back to work. My husband just left active Army after 11 years of service and we rent because we previously lived in 5 different states so we could buy due to military moves. We have to put our food on credit cards cause we just have nothing till my son goes to kindergarten and I can work full time.
Look into working at a daycare. That’s what I did for a while. You do have to take some tests but it may be worth it.
People try to predict the economy not realizing it is a command economy, central planning! my question is, instead of having much cash in bank that could lose value to inflation, do I invest in stocks or buy gold to safeguard and grow my wealth?
gold to me is an inflation hedge for long term, but not profitable in the short run. luckily some folks find solution in financial advisors
thanks for putting this out .. curiously looked up Karen Lynne Chess on the web and was able to spot her consulting page without sweat, no doubt she shows a great deal of expertise
Gold in hand not gold on paper

I agree and most don’t want to hear the truth about this or other issues.
Thank you for making these videos! Without these, I would think that just my business was doing bad and not know what is causing this. It's also important to start saving more!
Sure it is. Double already high property taxes, it's a crime.
And where is your illustrious Governor Desantis? Not a peep out of him.
Greetings from Switzerland🇨🇭
Same here. People getting sick from beeing serious worried.
STOP eating fast food. That will work wonders.
So very true I stopped a month ago and I feel like a new person😊
I don't eat out, there using cheaper product, cocking oil 's,butter meat every thing,in the restaurants, talking over the food when cooking,no gloves,or the same gloves all day. ,I eat home only I don't trust the tapto help that they hire in the restaurants,ps eat at your rist! People,I don't care. If they close there door's for good, let the wood's grow back it will be good for our earth, trees are good, they give you fresh air.😊
So what are poor ppl supposed to eat now?
@@Anomalyy666 Cook at home. You can actually cook a decent meal for under $2 per portion.
My social security has kept me off of that
Never fail to be impressed with your ability to address so many important topics, that we all are concerned about, with clarity and objectivity. Your presentation are generally much better articulated than some of the 'talking heads' on national TV news. Thanks for sharing in such neat and interesting places in South Florida.
Well of course the heads on tv are paid by Israel
Thank you.
Before the Internet they called it;
“ trying to keep up with the Joneses“
I was warned not to do it!
There was actually a social stigma against those who would live beyond their means and pretended like they earned it.
What a nightmare
Savings ? I heard about that once... I think I used to have some about 6 years ago... not now though, gas at $3.60/gal lunch meat at $5.49 a pack, bread at $5.00 a loaf... whatever. Tired of it.
Let’s all thank the greed of the few (1-10% of humans) who don’t give a shixx about the majority of people …. Especially the working class. Stand up against greed.
Don't file taxes. Don't register the car. It starts small.
Be a business owner yourself
Ok I also believe that we cannot just blame the well off the ones coming from old money don’t know any better, but there are others that came from nothing worked hard and figured things out and in this case good on them. At the end of the day our life is what we make of it you can only help yourself
@tamjeanell most aren't smart enough or are too lazy! 😂
You forgot that "standing up " makes him money RUclips cash $$ he never disclosed it but at least 3k a month which doesn't include sponsors etc.
61 degrees and it feels like 55 degrees where I am. I wanted to go running outside but just did weights and yoga indoors. 70 degrees is perfect for me. That beach is pretty empty for the hot temps.
One thing that I've been seeing more of lately is tech employees doing "I just got fired" videos, or "I'm trying to find a job" videos. A lot of younger workers had a rude shock after being treated like royalty by their employers.
The Fed speakers reiterated Higher for Longer after the CPI.
Michael
You always tell the truth 100% I will not move to Florida after all your videos and other reports I have read
I really find it hard to believe our country has come to this...
God bless us allll We need it!
$80K Michael? No, you need at least $150K to live in this society.
$200K for every man and woman !
No, you don't. I make less than 80k and I live in society. You have to be smart with your money.
200k if you are maintaining a house. 80k was a family of 4 who rents lol as if.
200K? Did you learn from Mrs. Manatoba how to earn that? I've heard she's the best teacher, such a kind heart. Please tell me more!
@@malthus101 she can’t be trusted she stole my money and left the country.
My mental health is gone. We've currently had our home on the market for 5 months, took a contingent offer after waiting nearly 4 months with nothing, the buyers home isn't selling. I'm trying to prepare for the future and take a profit while we can, mind you we're taking less than same layout homes are going for. I feel so down and out. I've had job offers pulled and given and now we have to move for this new job without selling our home.
The biggest Fed stimulus ever in 2020 followed by the quickest tightening ever in 2022-23 are driving people and the economy insane.
Yep, exactly, it's like an economic whipsaw. Similar to the fake political system of DINOs vs RINOs as another kind of whipsaw.
We have continued overstimulating the economy in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 with inadequate interest rate hikes
Thanks for the beach walk Mike! It was uplifting and making me look forward to summer. 🌊🏖️
Agree that your videos are helpful for those that like to be proactive.
Many of our parents and grandparents ate out at restaurants on special occasions. Home cooked meals daily. Coffee from home in a thermos. Brown bag lunches at work. Carry out, fast food, dining out multiple days a week & daily Starbutt’s kills paychecks.
Our family never used coupons to eat out.
Yep. Started out with mild anxiety diagnosed when i was a teen. I feel like the economy is spiraling and this doesn't help. How can everyday people absorb all these unexpected increases? How do corporations sleep at nite when reporting record profits? Personally, i can't handle much more financially and the instability of it all is just too much. Seems like no one is in control that has common sense or sense of ethical behavior. Not even mentioning all the craziness of the home buying binge people went on. How can you love a house you had to pay 500,000 over listing? The world has just gone mad.
This country has went to hell!!!!!
Thank you for taking us on a walk on the ⛱️ beach. This takes work. Dan does this for us too.
We need it! Peace. -R

Knowledge is power!
$100,000 is the new $50,000
I agree Michael. Having information is very helpful, knowing how others are dealing and knowing what direction we are doing in. There's always going to be folks that bury their heads in the sand.
Exactly 😊
