Sir why most of the rulers focused only north India and not focused India and then why most empire choose pataliputra as a capital of most the dynasty if any specific reason for that sir

@@upscjourney7336Pataliputra had resources like iron, easy to make tools and for useful in forest clearing and agriculture expansion. Agriculture gave base for trade, so large empires built at Pataliputra in ancient times, Kanauj at medieval times.
South India lacked that kind of resources to built an empire and their is lot of infighting among ourselves and checked each other from becoming an all India empire
Next there is a bias in history writing, north historians concentrated more on North Indian history and projected it as Indian history
