The only reason you'd need to try to bring someone down, is because you're insecure, if you were secure you wouldn't have the need lol
i mean i agree with the first guy that it is annoying to fight against someone who is kiting so much, is not what you would enjoy most, but it is a strategy and it is legit. In pvp you can simply go with a tanky build and earn base capture points while the other person is kiting away, you can bring a burst dps and time your attack and one shot it, you can bring a spammy aoe class and negate the kiters ability to come close to you, or simply move with a teamate and bring him down as a team (and i emphasize this, spvp is a team game mode, you are not suppossed to win all 1v1 matchups).
What is really stupid about this whole argument is that if he doesnt like to fight kiting duelists, then why challenge a kiting duelist to a duel? thats so stupid, is like going "oh man engi is so lame it has so many condi cleanses, here lets go fight your cleansing engi vs my burning-only condi elementalist".... and then going "see i told you it is lame you are cleansing too much i would kill you in seconds if you were not cleansing"... well yeah obviously thats what it does.
Just for the laughs i would have liked to see you kill him with mirror matchups, but then he would obviously have an advantage if it is a new build you have never played.
So I am spending the holidays with my family and was watching this video, cracking up. My parents and other older relatives ask what is so funny. I showed them the best parts of this vid - "what a disgrace, he won't duel? no honor". Grats Sith! A bunch of senior citizens think you are a loser now, too. "So he is in this top 100 but cannot face a challenge? With a wager even? (laughters in room)"

Hey Noodica, top 50 player here. I doubt I could beat you, I have really strong custom builds and good teamwork skills but that doesn’t translate to 1v1 skills so even though I’m a “top player” (take that phrase with a grain of salt) I’m not that great at dueling. And top 100 is a joke, lol. With a good build it isn’t that hard to get to top 50 if you know how to play and have good teammates.
There’s only like 300 - 400 active players in PvP anyway so it’s not like that’s a big achievement, lol.
Yeah, this guy doesn't realize that conquest rank doesn't necessarily correlate to individual skill xD this next season I'm going to aim to actually finish it, my rating is always high but I never reach minimum games xD
Noody 麺 Yeah hate when that happens. Gor a while I was solo-queing and doing okay, not stellar but staying in plat, but then some stuff came up and I had to stop playing for a while, and when I picked the game back up months later my rating had deteriorated to like silver so I had to grind all the way back out of silver and gold alone, but I was at least good enough to get top stats in those games but not good enough to get to plat one alone. Maybe if I had a solid team with mic chat it could work. The difference between solo-queing and having an actual team is insane.
Omg i fought that guy Sithlord this morning! I had already seen this video before meeting him in gw2 but I did not realized at the time that it was him. I am bad with names. The encounter made me think about the type of content on this channel so upon taking a small break I said to myself: you know what, let me check a Noody video and BOOM I see its the same freaking guy lmao. He won first duel but I won the second one using the pillar for the LOS. He then complained about me using the pillar (which he was using too btw but I did not confront him about it because I did not care). Then he said to me: just because I don't respect people who use the pillar I am going to camp you. I wanted to fight some other players but each time I would go in the arena he would focus me he kept killing me. Btw I am not good at PVP. You know in the video "The Types of Guild Wars 2 Players In WvW" when it gets to the part "players who main scourges"? I main scourge and that's literally how I play, no lie lol. So anyway I decide to wait a bit till he fights someone else and when he got to about 1/4 of his life I jumped in and killed him. I know its BM and I don't usually do this but he was so toxic I wanted to troll him. He then started messaging me in private telling me I should respect him because he is part of the "Slthlord guildie" which is one of the top 10 PvP guilds in NA. I told him that I am just a noob and that I really don't care about what he was saying. He then told me that he would switch to his warrior and kill me but I seriously did not see the point as he was already killing me. So I blocked him and went in WvW. So yeah, long story short Sithlord is a BBIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I was a big troll in GW2 back in time (2017) like I was literally having my only fun in there, fighting the mountains of ego and nerd shit bragging on an online game. I eventually got bored but man... these ego-tistic players will make up excuses and false facts worst than the Trump way, just to feel like they still are the shit, no matter how many times they publicly lose the arguments or the fights. It's like.... outstanding.

I feel you should know that it was a duel where the winner is the one who didn’t get defeated. A match has completely different implications and node holding wasn’t at all the point.

@@Noody truth is that pvp and wvw community is toxic as shit, so both these aspects of the game deserves the death that is coming to them the past few years.
I don't only blame the players for their toxic behavior, but also the company for allowing this.
Enemy servers in WvW should never be able to see where u are and wisper you...
These things that are allowed by the game itself are only there to provoke toxicity.
While in games like WoW ( a game made in 2003 and released in 2004) had taken insanly better actions against toxicity.
Anyway i wouldn't mind if wvw and pvp completly die out and only 50 and 50 toxic kids are left in each one, just being toxic to each other.

This doesn't only go with GW2 but, I bought the game and the game lets me do stuff i.e LOS and kiting, why tell me I can't do stuff that are okay. So props to you Noody for doing what needs to be done. I know your guild and the one I'm in (Rx) aren't always in good terms (due to majority of us being casual fucks) but respect to you and other great players for honest work.
My guild is retired now but I never had any problems with Rx, thanks tho man!

He's just a chump haha. I was top 100 solo queue in Late 2012-2013 when solo queues were still a thing. Fire or earth D/D ele was great in spvp or wvw. Guilds used to call me out to roam since ele was super effective nice burst and sustain pre HOT or Condi creep. But as time changes I never recovered well BP is still a friendly server but Spvp became quiet toxic after season 1 of spvp, made my wings and stop spvping back in Feb 2016. It's nice to be young and have great reflex ;) Keep up the good work and don't worry about the angry kids. Time keeps on going just remember the friends and good memories. Do you still play Noodic Guardian ? Good all times eh haha!

is there anywhere you do guides for thief? Ive been on and off of GW2 for awhile and been watching your stuff haphazardly for 2-3 years now... Ive decided to come back to GW2 and Ive always loved Thief but I have no idea where to start.. especially since I did have a level 80 before I quit last time LOL

Hey just wanted to ask, what's a fun class to "one-trick" in pvp that isn't too simple but has some potential?
Tried all classes and find enjoyment in each one of them, but was thinking towards spellbreaker (if that's the right name?). Maybe something: Easy to learn, hard to master
Any suggestions?

Hahaha bro i beat him really easy on it till he swapped to like every cleanse he could think of. This build over all is better 1v1, even thief can't kill it easily. Some matchups like the one with pepper just take longer.
