- It's the end of the Summer in the UK and Chris The Alfa Nut decides to drop the roof on his V6 Alfa Romeo Spider and take one last Summer roadtrip around the sunny coastline and beaches of South Devon. Come along for the ride and enjoy a blast around one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

This is the greatest video I've seen so far, that captures the spirit of driving this beautiful car! Thank YOU mate for this very enjoyable journey!
Hi Reno! Thanks for watching and I’m very happy that you enjoyed it - this is one of my favourite videos 🙂👍🏻 England can be very beautiful in the Summer
@@TheAlfaNut Saying I enjoyed it is an understatement. It was asesome! Thanks for the msg mate! All the best over there!
Thanks a lot! Where are you based?
@@TheAlfaNut I'm living in Belgium.
@RenoLaringo not so far away from Devon! 😉👍🏻 I am hoping to make another video this month of my Spider at “South West Alfa Day” - watch out for that !
I’m a 20-yr old girl in love with Alfa Romeos (Trying to save up for a GT😅)
Your videos bring out the Alfista in me. Keep up the good work. Love all of your videos. Amazing cinematography. Greetings from Croatia! ♥️
Hi Lucy, thanks for watching and good luck with saving up for a GT! 👍🏻X
You captured the spirit of the English countryside and coast with the juxtaposition of the exotic spider very nicely indeed sir..
What a nice little film that was !
Off for a quick grappa..😏
Thanks a lot for watching Joe, I just needed an excuse to go out in the Spider for the day! 😉
Chris yet another great video, superb shots, groovy tunes and a 916. Only one thing, you parked up, walked away but didn't look back! Tut.Tut.
Hi Alex, thanks for watching - I did look back but through the camera! 😉
Brilliant, chilled and relaxing, we will be watching this all winter to remind us of summer! The music is quite good too; some chap called C3D.
Cheers Henry - yeah wish I’d used some generic moozac now lol!
Thank you for this very impressionate Video in the right Alfa feeling. We had the same type but with the 2.0 engine. Actually we owned a Alfa Spider QV 1986 - we bought it as a new car and drive it since now - makes us always a great smile in the face.
Thanks for commenting Dandy - I will make a video of the older Spider one day 👍🏻
Yep, it’s that time of year when mine will soon be hibernating for the colder winter months we have here in the uk. Salt doesn’t do well for these delicately built cars.
Like you, one last hurrah planned when the weather is palatable, then back under her cover in my garage.
Beautiful cars, beautiful scenery. What’s not to like eh?
Cheers Mark, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah its a shame to have to put the good cars to bed but its the only sensible thing to do! 🙂
Beautiful Alfa, video and music. Cheers from Costa Rica, where summer never ends...almost.
Hi Luis, thanks for watching and enjoy your lovely weather! Think about us in the Uk when it start to rain 👍🏻
Great views so in to summer video.Beauty alfa looks like the perfect car for the trip. Thanks Chris great video.
Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed it. Yes the Spider is ideal for Devon lanes and for getting the full scenic views with the roof down. Days like these remind me how lucky we are in the UK to have so much coastline.
Nicely filmed Chris. Great scenery, cool tunes. I reckon possibly the best video you have made so far 👍.
Many thanks David, appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment
This is superb, well done. just what I needed after hard week at work. Living the dream.
Thanks Tony, its a radox bath for the soul! 😉
I have just brought a Alfa Spider myself, new shape, pretty much to do exactly the same summer road trip. Just hope I too have the weather.
Well done mate, thats a fun car to take on a road trip. I hope its a good Summer for everyone’s sake! 👍🏻🙂
Thanks for sharing that with us Chris, I am officially jealous of your Spider mate, It is stunning!
Cheers Steve, I don’t take her for granted!
Your 916 is absolutely amazing, looks so cool. Great video as always 👍🏻🇮🇹🍀
Thanks very much for watching Jackie - glad you enjoyed it! 😉
Absolutely lovely. Brilliant. Thanks
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
VERY nicely put together.
Thanks Jonathan, appreciate you watching! 👍🏻
What a fantastic video, I really enjoyed it.
Thanks very much for watching Daniyal and for taking the time to comment too - I appreciate it. 👍🏻
This clip inspired me pretty much.
Thanks for watching - I enjoyed making it!
Nice video, great to see another spider on the road even if it's on video.
Just come back from a bit of a winter road trip to Ghent on my 916, excellent in centre of the city in spider with the roof down at night highly recommend for a Belgium road trip .
Interesting to hear - I probably wouldn’t have considered Belgium as a road trip destination but happy to be educated!
Lovely car and scenery...nice one!
Thanks for watching Rob - glad you liked it 👍🏻
Lovely video and great music
Thanks Peter - I appreciate it 👍🏻
Fantástico vídeo Chris! England is so beautiful
Thanks Marc, that was a good day!
Amazing Video and a great car. I have also one and I love this car. Keep it !
Hi Guido - thanks for watching, I love mine also - it always makes me feel great when i drive it!
Hey Chris. Another cracking video. I finally got round to subscribing! Keep up the good work.
Hey mate, great to hear from you - hope you're well? Thanks for joining the chaos! Apparently it's possible to get into trouble for using your own songs in your videos! Who knew? ;0)
Love the music and I miss that badge on my steering wheel.
Thanks Mike, all my own work! 😉
What an entertaining video Chris! You now have me looking for a GTV on Auto Trader. Cheers from a not so sunny St Ives, Cornwall.
Haha, sorry about that Mark! I’ve just got home from Newquay this evening and the rain is sideways! 🙄
Nice song too!
Thanks Frank - I wrote it! 😉
Beautiful car! Only 165 UK V6 examples left. Mine is almost exactly the same other than you having a red dash. Sooooo much fun and your video has me looking forward to getting her out again soon. Beautiful part of the country as well. Nice video. Thanks.
Thanks Ben, glad you enjoyed it - I enjoyed making it! I actually thought there were less examples than that left, only about 230 were ever sold in the UK?
Only 39 Spider V6 24v according to howmanyleft.co.uk
@@TheAlfaNut wow, I must have been on the wrong model. Superb! Thank you. Even more special than I thought!
Yeah I think the 165 is referring to the newer model Spider
good stuff chief
Cheers Dominik! 😄
Haven’t been down Dartmouth way for years that’s just inspired my to take a trip down in my Spider next summer 👍
Do it and make sure you take one of the ferries for added glamour!
Stayed in Dartmouth many years ago and used the ferries quite a bit,but I a rather less glamorous car than the Spider a Peugeot 307 🤮🤮🤮
Oh dear, yes my Wife drove a 307 for a few years and I didn’t like it much either 😂
Love your videos - I currently own a 2010 ti sw 2.0 diesel - without a doubt the best car I have ever had for traveling on a motorway - everybody moves over just to get a look at the car as you go past - and I include in that list a 4c and a Stelvio Quadrifoligio - I will hasten to add that I am not doing illegal speeds as I go past them. I just love this car!
Thanks for watching! Not doing illegal speeds? Sure I believe you 😉
@@TheAlfaNut Honest guvnor I wasn't doing no illegal speeds.
However-I was once doing a very fast run on a piece of road that I could see was clear for at least a mile - I told my 28 year old son how fast we were going and he said "It still feels like we're only doing 70" @@TheAlfaNut
Beautiful car nice video👌🏻
Thanks for watching Aggie! 😎👍🏻
Dammit... now I've got this song stuck in my head! #augwurm
I'm generally not a huge fan of convertibles but I'd make an exception for one of these.
Haha sorry, if you email me your address I’ll send you a copy of the album foc! 👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut how can I not take you up on an offer like that? 🤣
@@TheAlfaNut you can get me at bikingmike@gmail.com
@@kahumike I'll send you an email in a short while :0)
Un opera d’arte
Merci beaucoup! 🙂
Ho sciato a Moena - è così vicino a te? È molto carino lì
...just out of curiosity Chris- does your Spider have a name ? I used to call mine Monica :D It's quite nice to see all the happiness and positive vibes that radiate from you while driving the Spider! Great content mate :)
Thanks mate, it was a happy day! Well, the kids have nicknamed her “Boris the Spider” after the old Who song but thats not very romantic or feminine! 😂
I asked my old friend who drives Alfa like me. "Are you willing to sell your spider?" His answer "Are you willing to drink a bottle of piss? What do you think! Not gonna happen in a mio years. Period"
I can only respect that answer, so I bought him a beer☺️👍🇩🇰
😄
The 916 is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. I hate the fact that Alfa don't produce an economically priced spider anymore? they always had it in their line up, like a Woman always has a black cocktail dress in her wardrobe, instead alfa have that horrible fat 4C plastic kit car with bean can exhausts and it costs £60K :-O
Yes, a reasonably priced new Spider or GTV would be a big seller I think. People are still buying millions of MX-5's and they are pretty basic & cheap really but huge fun, hence the appeal.
Sweeeeeeet.
Cheers Mark, was a lovely day out!
Thanks for taking us with you. I could smell the sea air! What year is the Alfa pls?
Hi Wendy, nice to see a lady watching for a change! Glad you enjoyed it - I enjoyed making it (in case it wasn’t obvious 🙂) The Spider is a 2002 3.0 V6 and is completely original apart from a fruity sounding exhaust! Hope to see you again.
I had considered getting a gtv or spider but don’t know much about cars bar how to drive one. Wouldn’t know if I was getting a good or bad 1. What price range would get me a decent motor.
Hi ME. For a decent Twinspark Spider, budget between £2,000 - £5,000. For a V6 version, budget between £4,000 - £10,000. They will also need regular maintenance and care but if you do that, they will reward you with great reliability and fun. Good luck!
Is that Coast of England? How pretty...also the Alfa
Thank you Claudius - yes, it is Dartmouth and Torquay on the South West coast. On a sunny day its very pretty 👍🏻
Nice car .. putting the roof down on a summer's day is the last thing you would do were i come from
Somewhere hot I guess? 😉
Love the car. Four years on do you still have it?
We have one in Rosso Corsa. Love it. Love owning it despite the occasional foible which isn't a surprise on a 27 year old car. And, great fun - discovered that there's a boot release button in the glove box. Saw that on a RUclips video this week. After a long time swing the badge and using the key!
Haha, yes if you have watched any of my “Hacks” videos, there are usually some little tips and hidden features on every Alfa! I will make one for the 916 series cars soon!
BTW - yes I still have the Spider, I’ll never sell her, too fabulous 😎👍🏻
That spider is begging for a roadtrip to Milan and the italian lakes somewhere in spring.
Funny you should mention it - that was already my plan! Lake Como and the AR factory museum in Arese. 👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut Still planning this when it's possible again?
Hi mate, yes but looks like this year won’t be the year, maybe 2022. Gary and I were thinking about a trip up to Glen Coe
How do you find it on 17’s? My 2.0 Zoe is so crashy on 16” wheels I don’t think I’d be able to bare it on 17”. The rattles with the roof up are enough to drive me mad
Hi mate, sounds like the suspension and / or bushes need changing to me - mine is quite a comfy ride on 17’s but it has recently replaced suspension and new poly bushes. Mine rattles with the hood up too! The windows need adjusting. 🤨
Hey Chris, such a cool video again... Well done mate! By the way, the songs in the video are yours, aren't they? Except one, if I am right I reckon...
Hi mate, thanks for watching. Yes the first and third songs are mine, from an album I released in 2013 - “Being Me” by C3D.
Hey, cool video and a car! I'm 185 cm tall, and I never had a convertible. Possibly dumb question - won't my head stick out past Spider's windshield?
Thanks for watching mate! I am about 183cm and my head only brushes the inside of the roof when it is up, so you would be fine with a Spider 😎👍🏻
Im really curious about that SKODA at 1:58 :D or im wrong? :)
Hi Richard, no you are right, its a Skoda Favourit from about 1993 but it’s not mine! 😄. (Thankfully)
I knew it and I actually love old skodas and own a couple.
If you have the chance drive a 136 rapid to my eyes it is actually a very nice car
Original songs. I knew it was you before the credits.
You’ve got a good ear mate! 😉
I have Alfa spider 916 i love my Alfa
Great choice! I love my Spider too 😍

Yep! Its not mine though 😉
@@TheAlfaNut give it a drive and an overview if you wish
Not on this channel !😉
@@TheAlfaNut when the video is up give us a notice
@@randomchannel1712 Haha yeah I certainly will!
Do you have Italian blood? you look like Italian..beautiful video like always!!! =D
Yes I do - Italian Grandparents and a love of italian stuff from birth it seems! 👍🏻
Che video insulso... Hai rovinato lo spirito alfa... Fallo sentire quel motore ogni tanto
Forza Alfa!
