Synopsis:
Crown Prince Xiao Ding Quan lost his mother and sister at a young age and his father, the Emperor, is distant towards him because he is backed by his maternal uncle General Gu and the army the latter controls. He lives on tenterhooks, fearful of losing the handful of people who are close to him. His father is a formidable figure whom he both respects and fears. Even as he strives to receive his love and approval, he is also afraid of the inevitable crushing disappointment if he fails.
Firstborn Prince Qi has designs on the throne and conspires against Ding Quan with the help of his father-in-law, the powerful Chancellor Li Bai Zhou. They cause harm to befall the people he cherishes and widen the rift between the Emperor and Ding Quan.
Teacher Lu Shi Yu who is strongly influenced by Confucian values is a fatherly figure to Ding Quan. He summons his student Lu Ying back to the capital with the intention of recommending the latter’s daughter Wen Xi to be the Crown Princess so as to help Ding Quan gain an upright and trustworthy ally in court. Ding Quan and Wen Xi meet by chance when her brother gets into trouble and they develop mutual admiration although Ding Quan has never seen what she looks like.
When Wen Xi’s father and brother are thrown into jail, Wen Xi goes undercover as a maid in the Crown Prince’s residence to help them. In the process, she quietly supports Ding Quan to resolve two cases. Together, the couple manages to redress Wen Xi’s father and brother’s case and bring the villains to justice. They are each other’s pillar of support as they brave dangers and make sacrifices to bring peace to the country.

Royal Nirvana.. Epic drama.. All actors are wonderful. Luo Jin acting is superb as usual.. Though the story is a bit tragic and the ending is sad
I got so tired of the ever crying crown prince and dropped this drama.... If he wasn't crying so much I could have loved to watch

The acting was great, but season one made me dislike the FL, season two corrected the dislike so I had hated her for nothing.
It was quite frustrating. I don't enjoy FLs who are not smart and season one made it feel that way when she wasn't.
I don't mind sad stories, it's my jam but I can't stand silly FLs.
Otherwise the show is a masterpiece, tier one.
It's a terrific Drama tugging at heartstrings, recognised it straight away. Superb acting Congratulations to Production too 😊❤
If you want to wallow in misery than you have come to the right drama. Grab the tissues. Not my cup of tea. Nothing but sufferring

@@Sikhindu i have watched many of his dramas so far I'm speaking about his overall performance of dramas and yeah what i meant was that unlike many of the Chinese actors who have handsome but sissy looks he looks very manly..🙂
@@asulajamir645 this was my first time watching him and I really enjoyed his performance. I will catch him in some other drama in the future. I mostly like intense historical dramas so this worked out well for me.
I find Jin Han handsome like a man rather than a pretty boy. I put this actor in the pretty boy category. I find all guys manly, even the pretty ones. I guess I have a wide range of taste in what I find attractive and manly.

Watching this again for the 20th time 😂😂😂😂. And I still stand by the decision that ML doesn’t fit to properly Rule the nation, he’s not even up to his father the current emperor who knows how to play the ministers and generals and keep everyone in power balance. Yes first prince plotted alot against him and schemes and all including the fact that the emperor kinda favored the first prince ..( because he acts more like a son towards the emperor unlike ML that treats others like his dad since he was little))). Crown prince really didn’t deserve the throne 😂 man would have burnt the kingdom down for love 😂 he’s too emotional and always crying which the emperor hates too

@@danvision5086 no entiendo por qué te disculpas, Dan, el nombre de la serie con subtítulos en inglés, que es como yo la ví, es Royal Nirvana...y de hecho tiene dos finales, uno de ellos omitiendo partes de la novela en que se basa y que tiene otro título también (el mismo que creo tiene la serie en idioma chino) y un segundo final con episodios extras que contiene las partes omitidas en el primer final. Si quieres quedarte con un final a libre interpretación, mira la serie sin caos extras y si quieres una serie apegada a la novela, pagando el precio emocional, ve los caps extras...insisto, es una masterpiece!!

@@danvision5086 I don't understand why you're apologizing for, Dan, the name of the drama with English subtitles, which is how I watched it, is Royal Nirvana.. .and in fact it has two endings, one of them omitting parts of the novel on which it is based and which has another title as well (the same one I think the series in Chinese has) and a second ending with extra episodes that contains the omitted parts in the first ending. If you want to stay with an ending to free interpretation wstching only without extra chapters and if you want a series attached to the novel, paying the emotional price, watching the extra chapters... I insist, it is a unique masterpiece!!
