Hey S4D great show as always! I think the next brackets should be bottles matured in ex-bourbon barrels i.e. Deanston 12 vs Arran 10 or something like that.
I haveboth the Royal Brackla new , that is the bottle you tasted, as well as the Glenturret 12. The Glenturret is really an recreation of Macallan, the distillery was bought by people who worked for Macallan and who started their own business. Glenturret is really a revelation
Since you mentioned scotch of the year, Spey Fumare vs Ledaig. Or maybe give Kilchoman another shot and put the Loch Gorm up against Ledaig, if you don’t mind the price difference.

Hey guys,
like your show and your view to the stuff very much. Very nice discussion about the whiskys.

Kilkerran 12yr, Glen Scotia 15yr, or Ardbeg An Oa
Bunnahabhain toiteach might be a good competitor. Strong peat but also other great flavors to round it out
Both undercards would be a good match for the GM Lasanta!
Ben Riach 10 Peated (former known as Curiositas) vs Ledaig 10?!
Bourbon cask scotch category or American single malt.
Fun fact - Glenturret is the only distillery with a Michelin star...
I have similar experience with this two 😅
Look at Compass Box No Name No. 3 peat for days.
You could go Highland Park but it’s a 12 yr and the Magnus is no age statement.
make a duel: Kilchoman Machir Bay cask strength Christmas Edition 2020(58,6% ) - Ledaig 10, Kilchoman I will blow it !!!
Yes, but availability.
