Can you talk about why rubber bands are used, important during treatment? Also what the difference sizes mean, even what medium/heavy force mean?
Good question Karen! We have a whole course on the subject here: bit.ly/how_to_use_elastics. 2 hours on How to use elastics with clear aligners.
@@theCLEARinstitute that’s awesome thank you ! I appreciate the reply!
Hello, i am an adult, i use an Invisalign treatment with class 3 elastics currently, on the other hand i have a class 2 division 2, does it make sense ? Thank you for your reply.
Hello Didier. We suggest you consult your treating dentist or orthodontist so that he/she took that decision in your case. There could be multiple reasons why they made that decision. Dentists and orthodontists are always happy to see a patient is interested in understanding their treatment :)
@@theCLEARinstitute Hello, thank you for your message.
If you have a jaw shift in adulthood, is it impossible to change that with orthodontics ? Will it be surgery?
@@didierverdon3482 Not necessarely. It will depend on what creates the jaw shift. Is it skeletal, dental, functional, or a combination of those reasons? This is where a thorough orthodontic examination is important before starting any treatment.
