The carriage scene was straight out of the book. Colin isn’t taking her inside for sex. He’s taking her to announce their engagement to his family. In the book they wait a month to plan the wedding. I believe They are very physical with each other leading up to the wedding.
That’s given me some peace of mind for pen! 💕 I had nooooo idea this series was based on books 👐😂 Haha glad you’re here with your knowledge! 🙌🙌🥰💕💕 But no juicey spoilers for part 2 though 😩🙏🙏🙏
In the book Colin is I think 33 and Penelope 28 and unmarried. She has accepted that she will stay a spinster, but she is still Lady Whistledown, which nobody knows. Not even Eloise, that falling out with her did not happen, also the whole situation with Marina didn't happen either. Colin did not try to help Pen find a husband. The kiss scene was in the book, unkissed at the age of 28, she just wanted to have this experience. The scene where Colin cuts his hand is also from the story. Colin finds out she is Lady Whistledown short before the carriage scene, they have a confrontation in the carriage, things get heated up...certain things happen 😉 and he proposes. That is why many readers thought their season came too soon, they were still in the process of growing up and finding themelves. Love the book and also enjoyed the first part of this season, but I do find it a bit rushed and too much time on sideplots. The book series (by Julia Quinn) are 8 books, each book tells the lovestory of one of the siblings. Also I think they made Colin on purpose very cringy this season. I believe he thinks he has to more of a man of the world and a playboy, more like his brother Anthony used to be. But that is not his real personality, which Lady Whistledown saw through at the beginning, and we slowly see his facade crumbling.
Don’t know if I misunderstood you but it felt like you thought that Colin and Penelope have known each other since season 1, but they’ve known each other since childhood when the Pen’s family moved across the street and Pen has been in love with Colin most of her life
Ha I’m glad someone picked up on this! I figured it was at least 3 years. But when I was editing I thought it must have been longer! So thanks for that that helps!! 💕💕💕Makes me think a bit less of Collin like but it’s all for the story 💁♀️😂
Thank you for including the time stamps! Its a lifesaver. Also, i love that you put your little reaction screen on the corner, and not on the centre of the video, deriving focus from the actual scene. And the fact that you don't include dramatic tiktok sound, memes, and reactions gifs that are annoying. I appreciate it so much.. Feels like i was watching it with you from the comfort of my own home 🤣 Congratulations 🎉 You earned yourself a new subscriber 🤣🙏
I truly enjoyed your comments and reactions. Hope to catch you again. Also the watches would be pinned on her dress. That way she could lift it up, check the time, and always know where it was.😀
Mickey Flannagan has a whole bit in his stand-up about how sad he is about the demise of fingering as part of our culture - Bridgerton bringing it back for him😂

Yes indeed
