"The hum of the wheel, and the buzz of the road. The sharp floating focus and peripheral blurring of the city when you have no metal contraption below you,is a form of bodily freedom wich surpasses....." Poetry both in language and motion.I love your"work"very much.Looking forward to many more...GREAT! (From Belguim...And again bought some inlines after a 15 year break...Please pray for me... :-D )
Thanks loads Belgium. You chose the exact audio that expresses my feelings for inline clearest; you must have truly flown 15 years ago. You'll not get my prayers but rather, I'll be waiting for word of how you are tearing it up like never before.
This video was the best yet. I live in London and only started skating 6 weeks ago and it's all about the street skate for me. Your videos inspire me to try more on the street and not limit myself. I look forward to your new videos. Ou have an amazing view on street skating!! Luv it!! Walking seems so slow now!
I was never into roller skating as much as I did with ice skating but ever since I've been watching these videos and I'd never thought I would be skating on the road and go around the city of london and it really is a nice feeling to feel the breeze rolling around the city and the amazing scenery :D
Part 3, Your thoughtfulness is very evident just as with your skating no detail is missed and your ability to empathize with us is a real touchstone that you always take the time to do a 1st class effort each and every posting. It has been a privileged & am very thankful to view over -and-over on many of them to try and gain your perspective(s) to even attempt your level of mastery. Thanx a million for opening up a whole new world! Russ
Haven't skated in probably 13 years (21 y.o now), until about two weeks ago I randomly stumbled on your videos. Since then I bought some nice skates and been on them almost daily. More fun than biking and running, more difficult than biking but less than running and the option to learn some neat foot work skills with slalom stuff. All in all, thanks for reintroducing me into this, it'll be a fun summer.
I've travelled via vehicle on or near most of these roads before but never on foot or skate, this was like a recon skate in itself. Great move with the knee pads! I'm going with hockey shin pads soon, enables adventure with minimal punishment.
I'm a figure skater with an ice hockey background but this was one of the most motivational things I have seen or heard for that matter in a very long time. Looks like I wont be hanging up my skates just yet.
I love your passion and the way you look at inline. I skated ALOT from 10 to 17 years old. 30 now I just got some Rollerblade Twister 80s. I like them alot. Up to 7 mile runs now. Thanks for the vids!
thank You again Pinto ! I have just come back to this video after some time.Your effort became my inspiration to battle on and find enjoyment in my learning. just met a fellow street blader from france here in melbourne and introducing him to Your flows Bill . seriously , thats half the fun of my blading !! People LOVE your get up and go attitude. regards stephen
*Part 1b* It is hard to imagine, as skating to me, is something to get away and enjoy an activity. To me, you represent the ambassador of skating! Your mastery of this sport is certainly a cherished art how you present it. It is a thrill each time I see a new posting from PINTO P.P.! Paint horses are really a marvelous breed. I grew up w/ Appaloosas in ID and then in my early adult years moved on to paints of the American Standard bred (paint horse) variety located in Ojai, CA.
I just love how chill this video is. I used to be an aggressive skater but I also liked a powerblade set up for long skates so I can totally relate to your feelings on all this.
I just started skating about a week and half ago (like... from 0) I learned by watching your videos, they helped a lot. started with skating for a few minutes, now I skate for about an hour or so. Still having a bit of trouble with balance, but smoothing it out slowly. Your videos are a great inspiration; and your narration is quite brilliant, I enjoy it quite a bit. Subscribed. Thanks for putting up all those tips.
Love to watch you skate. I'm an awful blader but I live it and skate anyway. You're vids are always fun and provide a great deal of educational content on skating as well. Thanks for the high quality work!
**Part 1* This is really a fantastic YT I watch it every evening. It is award-winning videography, to say the least. The thought put into this is exquisite! The prose are also enchanting, invigorating, if not downright comical i.e. "Toronto use to be run like NY by the Swiss now it is more like Detroit run by the Maltese!" Very clever! There are so many other noteworthy facets I could point out here!
Bill, RUclips suggested a couple of your old video’s. You were in hockey style skates using the hockey stick for your camera. My how things have changed. 360 camera, invisible selfie stick slick edits Etc. The one constant good skating, superb narration. Someone commented you are a poet, how aprapos. Miss hearing “Stay Low” when things get shaky I repeat that to myself and it still works and I am sure it always will.
**Part 2** Also, how Bill describes his observation of other skaters that the very lines a person skates evidences a type of unique skater communique in essence. Just a very insightful work here! Notice how Bill storyboards his design in how he puts together a very well thought out flow not just to his skating route also the intrigue of one gem after the other each street along the way in this exceptional high grade quality production.
Mate, your experience with ice hockey shows up in this video.Thank you for the experience. Will put on my inlines tonight at the rink. I don't trust myself on the streets yet. Thanks for all the advice.
nice video! I started skating again after nearly 15y, not grinding and in halfpipes as in my younger years. but its video's like this one that got me started again! thx for that and keep it up!
WOW this asphalt so good amazing, this roads=) In russia sooo bad asphalt. Im speack eng a little but i thinck u undesrtend me=) Amazing skill amazing roads=) Ty for motivation
In Russia, Дружок, you'll brake your neck bone after a few minutes of city skating. Или налетишь на какую-нибудь бабку с тележкой картошки, которой она потом тебя и стукнет по голове.
I watched your whole video and you are really great! I fell in love with city rollerblading! It's amazing and you are a great inspiration! I have always loved rollerblading in my city since i was 6 with my friends, I am 18 now :D Thank you so much for this incredible video!
That was great to ride along w/ you & feel what its like flying along w/ Jonathan Livingston Seagull rather than be left down by the pier groveling w/ the other birds. It was very interesting hearing your musings along your interesting journey w/ such adept & insightful narration as the clearer we come to absolute truth the more simply, as you exemplify, they can be expressed!
top drawer Bill, I have been skating between 19 & 25 km a session and i know what you mean about the quads knotting up, also trying to get a descent flow without getting caught out by those damn cracks & pebbles on the path ! keep up the great work fella !
I just started skating. And seeing you doing your thing, it motivates me a lot 2 hold on and don't give up. Cause right now i'm making a fool of myself the way i skate. I really enjoyed your vid. Please make more vids like that. Thx.
*Part 2* They (Paints) were masterful and beautiful equines to be involved with. It is likewise a very inspiring reality w/ your production work how you convey a much looked forward to relaxing and enjoyable manner that you emanate forth especially through your expertise with film.
Thanks loads R, huge props indeed! I enjoy writing for this because I know you and others know exactly what I'm talking about. Very few around me have tolerated my skate talk; I love that the inline community is out there to communicate and conspire with.
Amazing video, I am no skater...sometimes I wish I were, but I am not graceful at all. I really loved your video, I felt as though I were right there with you the whole time. The narration was simply awesome, you are very interesting and exciting to watch. Thank you for sharing your video. I look forward to more. Ps the music was perfect for this video!
Thanks for making this Bill, it's great to sit back and watch. I'm a bit bruised from a 4-hour skate session a few days ago ("Hmm, I'll just go out for a bit" nope) and I gotta substitute my exercise craving with watching some flows.
Bike riders of..... _mixed ability_😂 Your commentary is the second best thing in these videos. Also, I'll have to keep an eye out for the slappable offenses.
I started skating today, it's so hard for me at this point... I guess it will get better if I keep practicing and don't get discourage by the falls, what you do seems like magic, you are levitating Im struggling. xoxo
Being lower than a bike means I get a great look into every car I pass. People running from between the cars is the real danger. Montreal's a great city to skate. Own it SM!
very cool - talented skater! I have just started skating again (dare I say quad skates), after not touching skates since my teens...Very cool to see your video.
i don't understand what you say in the video, but i love them ! I m from France , thanks a lot, these videos are relaxing ! i would like learn skate but i m 45 old, may be this summer, go on please !
Amazing vid this ones is one of my favorites and when it comes to breathing do it through your nose and out your mouth it will help I do it and I'm a city skater and cross country runner so trust me :) keep making ur awesome vids
Wow I can't even begin to explain how much I loved this video, I am 21 and just starting to skate since I was a kid, It looks so much fun and a little sad for me because I can't even think of doing something like that in my City (Maracaibo) or country (Venezuela), let's just say it's too dangerous not only because of cracks in the street, but anyway thank you for the vid you made It really entertaining to watch, hope I can be that good someday. (Sorry if I made any mistake writing this)
Thanks for the excellent encouragement Anays. What a drag that danger keeps you from the freedom of a good roll. I hope you're able to find some small patch that is safe to rip up. Let me know how your flight progresses!
You need to improvise something Anays, i have some days when it rains and i feel like i want to rollerblade.. that feeling sucks.. i guess it`s like urs because u cant skate . My goal next years is to rollerblade as many places in the world i can, skaters comunity seems to be one of the greatest!
Vladut-Cristian Lesan ***** sorry I didnt see this before thank you very much for the good vibes. I'm happy to tell you I just came back from an awesome day skating.
Love your videos as always, you've been the biggest influence for me skating NYC. I've done the major Central Park loops, 10 Mile - River scenery skate, and 10 Mile - Manhattan to Flushing Skate (Very rough in the city, but smooth sailing in Queens, chasing cars between lights).
I want to try skating to and from places but where I live there are few sidewalks and the speed limit is 40mph. Really makes me want to move to a city. The best I can do is skating to walmart but even then the road is really bad for about 100ft. It can't kill my passion for this hobby though. Thank you for the videos Bill.
Europe is light years ahead of North America in the social/city skating scene. Great to hear Hungary is still rolling strong. The skaters in Canada are good but they stay in the rinks, parks or on special trails.
Man I love your videos! ! I decided to skate again a few weeks ago and was looking for technique videos when I came across your channel and it's such a big inspiration. I'm 23 years old now and not in shape at all, so my first few city skates of ~5km are KILLING my legs hahahaha Much love from berlin, germany!
Ciao sono un principiante del Lido di Roma, sto imparando tantissimo dai tuoi bellissimi video! Grazie da Roma! Vorrei riuscire a fare tutte le strade di Roma Antica..un giorno! ciao
Nice video, and I saw you talked about cracks, here in Brazil, were I pratice skating, Jesus, you don't wanna know, trying find a place without cracks here it's almost impossible, but like you said, it's a thing that you have to learn dodge. Bisedes that, speed it's a dream.
Tony Hawk will need either a scooter or a good moped to keep up with your speed, ......congratulations to Canada winning the Olympic hockey gold medal this year, and for the 25 medals..... you guys deserve it..........you got good skills, thanks for the tips, I can rollerblade faster since I saw your video, I practice everyday until blister.............love to skate listening to drum and base.......hard core jungle, good luck....Salu2
Thanks T. Roll as much 'across' rails as possible, or better yet step and hop over every rail. I roll across the ones I know but just when I think I own rail crossings, I catch the groove or a hard rail edge. One of those things that is about concentration not skill.
Y and E...my old stomping ground. Grew up in that area. Really enjoyed your roll down Yonge st. my memory lane. Was happy you took a detour to Yorkville. Was always reluctant to roll down the Yonge hill south of Summer Hill. Could be quite hectic at times. Not much space sometimes with hog drivers of the road. You really want a roll...try rolling down Mount Pleasant blvd south of St. Clair. That will really get your wheels spinning...or how about the Bayview extension south of Moore...then if you're up to it trek your way up Pottery Road and stop at the DQ for a sunday at the top. My friend actually rolled down Pottery Road once on blades. I would only try that if they stopped the traffic. lol
Thanks for mentioning Play it Again Sports. Will definitely check them out... I skate around Harbourfront and the Goodman Trail. Also sometimes on the Front St. Will be great to join you and skate together...
Thanks ase69s. I find the slalom takes off very little speed. Unless you mix it with power-sliding little friction is created, a big difference from skiing. I can stretch my wheels up to two months be rotating often. Sometimes when I have to drag stop hard and unexpectedly I imagine I've just spent $5.00
"No two skaters I've skated with
Roll the same.
A stride is an expression
And a line is a conversation"
BRILLIANT

This is like meditation watching the skates roll.
"to them in line skaters are no different than unicyclists or pogo...stickists..." lmao. subscribed my good sir..

Man there's absolutely nothing else on youtube like this. Rollerblade philosophy... Love the videos keep it up. Thanks

I enjoyed listening to your narrative as much as if not more than watching the video. It's almost listening to a talking book. Great writing!
Wow man what an impressive skate session. I have always been nervous about skating downtown, but you make it look fun. Especially around city hall.
your skatting, your speech content and your voice
I've travelled via vehicle on or near most of these roads before but never on foot or skate, this was like a recon skate in itself.

I'm learning at the moment, in quiet car parks currently. Love the tips vids but this one was brill. Great inspiration
Also, what is the music you're using in most of your videos? Shazam is turning up more false positives than I can wave a phone at.
Omar Ali Hey, Omar, my music is all homemade; Garage Band mainly.
PintoPonyProductions It's great - I'd encourage you to put some on soundcloud, if you're that way inclined,
thank You again Pinto ! Thanks for the great props Stephen. Glad to hear you have someone to roll with, makes it way more fun; keep ripping!
PintoPonyProductions that vid was hypnotic watching you glide with ease through the streets,, good stuff
i do aggressive blading and i've been doing it for 16+ years. your commentary is awesome and i agree with so much of it. GREAT VIDEO!

Love to watch you skate. I'm an awful blader but I live it and skate anyway. You're vids are always fun and provide a great deal of educational content on skating as well. Thanks for the high quality work!
You've described my own feelings about running (y)...Skating gives me most of the freedom but it's more fun and faster, I like speed :)
really liked the thought out narrative. actually watched start-to-end
Dude, I got one thing to say after watching your video's. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. And your skating skills are ridiculous.
Thanks loads for the great props M.
I like your older skate video. It has a different vibe to it. The newer skating videos are nice, but those older videos are just the bombs!!!!!
So much knowledge and wisdom in one video man! Cheers

Didn't realise you did the London skate. I do it three times a week and you are right London roads are the most challenging. Nice video.
This is art, man. Love it

I honestly could just listen to you talk!! You sound so poetic
this video took me back to a city I love and really inspired me, I will start practicing and inline skating in Copenhagen. Thanks
Bill, your narrative style is awesome. Sounds like a quirky hypnosis I'd with brilliant words
*Part 2* They (Paints) were masterful and beautiful equines to be involved with. It is likewise a very inspiring reality w/ your production work how you convey a much looked forward to relaxing and enjoyable manner that you emanate forth especially through your expertise with film.
"crack kills" that was amazing . I hate those
cracks that are above metro stations !! They scare me even when I'm walking normally!
I just wanna say , keep doing what you are doing ,you are awesome !!!
awesome video. There's just something about weaving through the obstacles and traffic that's so enjoyable.
Insanely good video. The longer videos are great - please keep making them.
Thanks loads R, huge props indeed! I enjoy writing for this because I know you and others know exactly what I'm talking about. Very few around me have tolerated my skate talk; I love that the inline community is out there to communicate and conspire with.
With figure AND ice hockey background you're never allowed to hang up your skates Elizabeth. Thanks for the props, happy flying!
I'm late to the party, I know. But I loved everything about this video.
Well done 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Amazing video, I am no skater...sometimes I wish I were, but I am not graceful at all. I really loved your video, I felt as though I were right there with you the whole time. The narration was simply awesome, you are very interesting and exciting to watch. Thank you for sharing your video. I look forward to more. Ps the music was perfect for this video!
I could listen to you speak all day... New blade addict here
I love this video and Toronto.
Thanks from Barcelona. ;)
Huge variation in your city for rolling, especially the hills. If I ever get back, we'll tear it up.
Thanks for making this Bill, it's great to sit back and watch. I'm a bit bruised from a 4-hour skate session a few days ago ("Hmm, I'll just go out for a bit" nope) and I gotta substitute my exercise craving with watching some flows.
I will be moving to Toronto next year and I look forward to skating there.

That was awesome Bill..... inspired me to grab some skates this weekend :))
Ha, I watched half of this, thinking I was in Montreal but seeing nothing I remembered (I'm in San Francisco) . . . . enjoying your videos.
very cool - talented skater! I have just started skating again (dare I say quad skates), after not touching skates since my teens...Very cool to see your video.
Thanks for the fantastic review. Very happy to find other birds that feel like me!
your videos from 10 years ago are a lot better than mine from 2024 😅
i don't understand what you say in the video, but i love them ! I m from France , thanks a lot, these videos are relaxing ! i would like learn skate but i m 45 old, may be this summer, go on please !

Thank You for Your video, I really liked it. I just started skating in the summer, so still a n00b, but this video gives a lot of inspiration, thanks!
De ez most mitol erdekes?
Boór András A válasz erre a kérdésre az, benned nem én vagyok.
PintoPonyProductions Haha! Nicely answered. Go go go Google translate!
Hey man awesome commentary...your dry wit is definitely appreciated by this skater of Boston & NYC. - (your right , running does suck...) Peace.
Thanks D, I've never rolled Boston, glad you are!

Much love from berlin, germany!
Thanks Max, you'll be in shape very fast if you keep killing the legs. I must roll Berlin soon, on my top 3 list!
Thanks loads R. I love knowing that there are skaters out there that want dialogue on skating.
You're rollingf-word-amazing! WOW!
You're amazing! You give me hope for my abilities.
Amazing!! I have been rolling for three days and I feel great, I just really want to practice more! Thank you for you video, greetings from Chile!!

I am in love with your voice and skating.
I would only try that if they stopped the traffic. lol
Thanks HM. You've probably got some great stories of you own 16 yrs is a ton of rolling.
Thanks for mentioning Play it Again Sports. Will definitely check them out... I skate around Harbourfront and the Goodman Trail. Also sometimes on the Front St. Will be great to join you and skate together...
Thanks Wei! Your routes sound like a skaters dream, tear it up.
This is so calming
when you jump, seems like spider man sometimes.
Cool 😎😎
Thanks for the specific props A; aspirational stuff.
