I’m here right now and it’s crazy how different the experiences can be depending on the timing. I happened to be here during spring break and this place is packed. The silent disco probably had 250 people and it was a crazy party. Eclipse terrace has had live music and a dance floor the first two nights I’ve been here. The room service burger really is the best. My favorite vacation ever so far. Love hard rock punta Cana!!!
My boyfriend and I went during week days in February, literally a week ago we were there, and it was peace and quiet until the weekend. Also- I cannot believe you liked that burger 😂 I swear it was the only item I ate at hard rock that I thought was bad
I was there about 6 years ago. We had a great experience there. People that go to the Hard Rock are friendly and looking to have a good time. We met about 4 couples that we still keep in touch with them to this day. We were invited to a private food tasting with the beverage manager and enjoyed picking his brain about the resort. Top shelf booze 🍸and great night life. I Enjoyed your video Cheers 🍻
We spent our honeymoon here 8 years ago. Our room was spectacular, a corner room with a huge balcony and a hot tub. But what really bothered me about the resort was that there was no outdoor bar in the evening. I feel like we spent so much time indoors. Who wants to stay indoors in the Caribbean???
I am going to stay at Hard Rock Punta Cana in a few weeks with a large group of friends/family. Everyone in the group has watched all your videos regarding the resort. We appreciate your honest feedback and are using your VLOG's as our bible ha. Thanks so much for posting and keep doing an amazing job!
Ok cute puppy…I have watched TONS of your all inclusive reviews, best of, VS., and the algorithm threw you my way because of the Vegas content I gobble up…so I was never really thinking about all inclusives for myself…I mostly travel to Vegas and I love slots and hold em tournaments, a good buffet and/or just great food…but after watching your vids for a while now I can say I’m not only intrigued, I’ve also been tuned in for future plans…and finally I can announce, this is it! I’m sold! Next time you go book it for two and I’ll meet you there 😉😁😁🙃😝
We were here years ago when Sun Palace resorts owned it still when it just opened ! Can’t wait to go back ! This was literally almost 15 years ago and nothing changed except the Decor . I love a large hotel doesn’t seem as crowded! When we were here, they were only open for three months so there was only about 300 of us or less . I think they said they had 2000 or 2500 suits.
Are you going to do a tour/review of Cancun/Riviera Maya all-inclusives the way you did Punta Cana? I absolutely love your thorough reviews. My husband and I watched your videos with pen in hand, taking notes! We want a great beach and great food, that is not adults only, but it seems it is impossible to have it all. According to your research, the one that works out the best is Hard Rock. Would love to see this same thing for the Riviera Maya!
Been to both HR Punta and HR Maya a couple of times with family. Maya is great and clean and easier to navigate. Excursions at Xcarat or Cozumel are fun. Service and food are a bit better at Maya. Punta is huge and you’ll spend a day getting around and have comfortable shoes. You’ll walk more than in Vegas. Has excellent excursions to Soana island and horseback riding. But, there’s really not much need to leave the resort. Beach is best I’ve ever been to. But, be careful of the undertow. Personally, think it’s better for the younger visitors. Both places are a bit tip heavy. But, I’ve no problem with it as both economies rely on tourism.
I am a travel agent. To be honest, in the Dominican Republic, you get more for your money, but I don't like the people there. I prefer Riviera Maya. It might be a little outdated, but everyone is so nice and welcoming.
Super stoked to visit the HR PC this week after watching this video! Thanks for the suggestions on pools, drinks, etc. Glad I stumbled on your channel!
Great VLOG! My wife and I are considering the DR for our 26th anniversary next year. Your tour of the grounds and amenities was awesome! Thank you for sharing!
My wife and I just got back from HR Punta Cana and I completely agree with you. This was my second trip to this hotel and the second trip was even a better experience than the incredible time I had in 2018. The people, the location, the hotel, the spa . . . it was all amazing. We ordered room service a number of times and tried everything they had . . . everything was really good - was it 5 star? were there 45 things on the menu? No . . . BUT . . . when I'm hungry I'm looking for one item that hits the mark not 45 items. The variety was balanced and after the first time ordering we just said send us what you'd order . . . needless to say there was plenty of food. (order the soup) - trust me! It was the best soup I've probably ever had. Did it feel commercial? Maybe a little bit but as you mentioned in your rating there are lots of places to get away from the busy fun and get into a more relaxed level of fun without feeling lost in the giant resort. One think that wasn't mentioned was the tram . . . if you happen to get a room far from the main lobby they have trams that will take you around. No, this isn't the Disney monorail which has a set schedule . . . this is a resort tram/golf cart system that will take you to where you need to go on the resort loop. Overall I'd definitely go back yet again for a third time . . . but there are so many amazing places to go I'd probably talk with the HR travel planner and ask for another one that has a similar feel. While I'm not sold on HR Resorts alone, in my 30+ countries of travel I wasn't disappointed . . . but then again I'm pretty easy going and find the fun and joy in almost everything. Blessings fellas travelers. Cb
Stayed here in 2020. Absolutely amazing room service, the rooms are INSANE, food was good for the most part and the best part was the beach. That beach is so much fun.
Another outstanding deep dive as always! Keep rocking it, Happy New Years James! Bro congratulations on 10k what a way to kick start 2022 brother here's to Safe Travels
Wow, I'm so grateful to find your amazing channel. Love this video and some others about Punta Cana. We're planning to go to Hard Rock so thank you so much for the details about this place.
Few questions: 1. What are you drinking @14:31 and @15:18? 2. Do you need reservations for the restaurants? 3. Did it rain when you were there? 4. Any outdoor seating available for the restaurants? Thanks!
Thank you...this is amazing! I wasnt over the top impressed with Hard Rock in Los Cabo. But this one looks like its so much better. We're booked for July. 💞 I'm super excited now.
Was surprised to see kids, I had(wrongly) assumed that Hard Rock was 21+ ...so far because of the food & 'classiness' Secrets is still my favorite. Thank you for the videos & hard work, wishing you lots of good health & continued success - Happy New Year!
Hey Johnny - Hard Rock is that one place where you can have a great time, regardless of age. Anyone between the ages of 8 to 80 will have fun. Seeing kids at the swim up bar, and inside the lounges was strange to me however. Thanks for the kind words.
It’s all for the kids now. Just got back. They should rename it Baby rock. They are also having supply troubles according to the staff. Food isn’t the same at present. They are remodeling the rooms. They are nice but no longer have any hard rock flair to them. New rooms move jacuzzi out to the balcony and add a sofa bed, again caters to 2 adults, 2 kids. This change will work for many but not for me. I’m at a different stage in life. Also saw a water park being built on the edge of the property…more for the kids. Spent of my week waiting for the train/tram to get from place to place.
Happy Holidays Mr James and congrats on hitting 10k in subscribers …I am very glad to see that ..it is well deserved! I am not a huge fan of Hard Rock but they do as you say have a lot of energy . I definitely liked this resort and the room was really nice . The beach was gorgeous and so many pools to choose from. All of their properties are a tad pricey though . I do stay at the one at Universal Orlando as you get a free express pass for the park which is worth it but the hotel itself isn’t outstanding by any means . The comment that the kids pool is you’re kryptonite was hilarious by the way . Great video as always . Wishing you a very happy New Year 😎😎😎
AN-THO-NY! What’s up man? Thanks! Hard Rocks are definitely overpriced - I feel strongly about that. But you pay for the brand, experience, and usually prime locations, which this property was in. Hard Rock has carved out their space and they so execute so well on the experience that they have a very loyal following. HNY bro 🎉

Been a member here for about 10 years, I love it! It was fun when it was just my wife and I and it’s fun now with 3 kids. The casino is a fun time obviously and I love to golf, the course here is absolutely gorgeous. Agree that food is hit or miss, but it’s a great hotel no doubt.
Punta Cana, the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, abuts the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It's a region known for its 32km stretch of beaches and clear waters. The Bávaro area and Punta Cana combine to form what's known as La Costa del Coco, or the Coconut Coast, an area of lavish, all-inclusive resorts.
We took a trip with 3 other couples a few years ago. I don't remember seeing a single kid during our trip. We took it when our kids were in school during spring time, we must have missed spring breakers. We had a good time. Staff was very friendly.
Enjoyed your review of HR Punta Cana. We have been to this resort three times and shave another trip planned in 2023. Spot on about the EDEN POOL. We spend most of our time there. Each of the “satellite” pools is different. Especially enjoy the different snacks offered at each. Big fan of the food at the Hard Rock. Is it gourmet? No. But for an all-inclusive it is well above average and you will never be underserved. Plenty of drinks to try and savor. The staff here is top notch. Grounds are outstanding. Greatly appreciate you taking the time to review one of our favorite spots. 👍😎👍
Thanks for your thorough review. All your detailed hotel vids and comparisons in punta cana were very helpful. You do the best reviews by far! I booked the Hard Rock for April today.
I am so happy that you gave it a high 4 of a score, and yet you missed some crucial points of the Hard Rock......I happen to be a Legendary member at this hotel and go there at @4 times a year.....there is so much to see and do!!! You missed the following: Eden pool is an adults-only pool because women can go topless!!! Each building near the pools has a villa on the top floor, specifically buildings' 2 villa is where the celebrities stay. For those who enjoy golf, it has an incredible golf course. I am shocked you did not visit the lower floor where it has a beauty salon, a humongous spa, and a work of the art gym. After dinner, you can also enjoy the shows at the theater which is behind the casino. Hard Rock is on Bavaro beach which is the best beach in Punta Cana, while Secrets and the others are in a different region where the beach is rockier. @coolist you definitely need to return.
Wife and I are going this weekend for 7 days. Glad to read your comments as I’ve seen some rough reviews and have been extremely nervous that I made a terrible mistake in booking. We are curious about this Eden pool- is that for a special class of guest? Have any tips or suggestions to can add to help our stay, would be greatly appreciated
@@MrMcaruthers I got back from Hard Rock 2 weeks ago. The Eden pool is open to everyone. The new addition to the hotel is the water park that recently opened on April 11th and is for all guests.
I was at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego last month and this past July. Oh man, they are expensive but it’s also the nicest hotel I have ever been to.
Bro based on your review of TI in vegas i booked it , suite in all , now randomly searched this hotel and seen you reviewing this also has to be a sign 😂
@@danbarkley1738 fantastic , rooms great location great , staff were nice , if you want good stay to explore Vegas highly recommend , if you want to stay mostly at hotel and want luxury then venetian or palazzo may be better
I’ve been to this resort 5-6 times so obviously I like it but oddly the first time I was there which was about 7 years ago was the best. The last 3 times we were there the water was extremely rough and I like spending most of my time at the beach could barely go in the water was so rough. Also me and my wife like the casino at night and it has changed ownership and not nearly as fun anymore and no more free drinks either which is annoying. They also got rid of the pizza place which was very good so that was a bummer.
Loved this! We have been members for a while and have been to one of the Mexican locations. This one is wayyy better/bigger! Although, I do prefer excursions in Mexico! Can't wait to be back later this year.
I just got back 3 days ago. Our jacuzzi was in the balcony! 😃 we were told they did some renovations! Fully agree this place is amazing, we needed more time to see every corner. Yes, central pool is where you get drunk without knowing. Those bartenders spy on you, so they can refill your cup.😂
Did you hear Hard Rock purchased the Mirage from MGM? Glad to see you were surprised by the quality of this Hard Rock. Congrats on the 10k subs. Do you have a target for next year?
Hey Andy. I definitely saw that and I still don't know how I feel about it. Of course I'm elated to see a new property on the strip, especially a hard rock location (the previous location had a legendary run), but conversely, the strip just won't feel the same to me without the mirage, a Vegas icon and a property that I hold in very high esteem. I ardently try not to get fixated on sub count, because doing so can get obsessive, and create a lot of stress. Truly, I try to make the best content possible, because I know that will ultimately attract views and subs. This year I went from 500 to 10,000, so 20x again Would Great. 😁
@@Coolist I’m optimistically concerned. Mirage is still a go to for some trips. Love their sports book during March madness. It sounds like they don’t plan to knock it down but will have deep renovations.
James, thanks for the great and very insightful travel videos. I've been watching all of your Punta Cana videos in preparation for my upcoming vacation to the DR. I settled on the Hard Rock for our stay. Any recommendations for the 1st Dinner at the resort to start off the vacation? Any recommendations would be helpful. I wanted to go to one of the better restaurants to set a positive tone for the entire trip.
As always, thank you for your in depth tours. I think you tone it down a bit from Vegas. Your tours of Vegas were the crème de la crème, but this seemed more reasonable and easier on the pocket.
Loved watching this video! You were very thorough and articulate. I’m looking to book a family trip this year. Would you recommend this for an almost 14 year old? My other 2 kids are older so this is more for him to get the experience of an all inclusive. Which month would you recommend best weather wise for visiting? Any other details I should know? Which room/view did you book for this video?
This hard rock is designed to provide a fun, enjoyable experience to people of all ages, from 8 - 80. For a 14 year old, it's probably one of the best properties. Anytime between November and April is solid.
James love the videos and keep them coming. You are my favorite travel review channel. One question do you have plans to visit Dubai? If so would love to see a review of the Address Downtown connected to the Dubai mall and the Sheraton mall of the emirates.
I am so nervous now wondering if this is a great place to get married! I figured it would be a great place for all ages to go so family and friends can all enjoy . I will be having a beach wedding here next year. I sure hope it doesn't disappoint! any other suggestions, tips, or comments to ease my mind about marrying here would be great!

Agree that food is hit or miss, but it’s a great hotel no doubt.
Danke für Video👍
You gotta Hard Rock Happy Face...q-tay! Great vibe!
Vibes for days ☺️
Great video. Really appreciate your work.
Best vacay of my life at that place!
Excellent tour thank you ❤️
Enjoyed your review of HR Punta Cana.
👍😎👍
Me and my family are going here on Sunday at 2 am and I’m so excited and I’ve been doing everything I can to pass time in the week
Thanks for your thorough review. All your detailed hotel vids and comparisons in punta cana were very helpful. You do the best reviews by far! I booked the Hard Rock for April today.
James! Once again, saying it how it is…Upward and onward, my friend!
Agree on all accounts! Been there done that! Might do it again!
This was by helpful, we're thinking of booking here now, thanks!
Thank you for this. I’m going in a few weeks and the spa services and gym are at the top of my list 🥰
Love your content too. Keep it going bro
We had a blast here..July 2022
I’m here now, great vid, is there a certain bartender that gave you the mango margs? They all look at me like I’m nuts when I ask lol
Great video ! I’ll definitely check this place out
Awesome video, thank you 👍🏽
Welp, thanks. You helped me decide on encore for vegas in sept and now ill book this for april!
I’m going to hard rock Punta Cana hotel after 4 days on July 22 for 9 days it’s my first time .
I was at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego last month and this past July. Oh man, they are expensive but it’s also the nicest hotel I have ever been to.
Great video 🙌
I was never a fan of DR but after watching ur vlog I want to try DR out🔥
DR is really growing on me. You might really like it!
They’re in punts cana not DR
@@thomasrudder9639 punta Cana is n the DR Dominican Republic
@@shellelove8026 oh well go eat some punta
@@shellelove8026 my bad, I mix it up with playa del carman for some dumb reason.
Bro based on your review of TI in vegas i booked it , suite in all , now randomly searched this hotel and seen you reviewing this also has to be a sign 😂
how did you liked the Treasure Island hotel in LV😊
I’m planning to go there in 2024 and this is insane!!! But to be honest Barcelo or hard rock hotel is the best
Loved this! We have been members for a while and have been to one of the Mexican locations. This one is wayyy better/bigger! Although, I do prefer excursions in Mexico! Can't wait to be back later this year.
Can people book through members?
I just got back 3 days ago. Our jacuzzi was in the balcony! 😃 we were told they did some renovations! Fully agree this place is amazing, we needed more time to see every corner. Yes, central pool is where you get drunk without knowing. Those bartenders spy on you, so they can refill your cup.😂
Thank you for your honest review. I agree, I'm not a huge fan of Hard Rock restaurants in the US, but this resort looks awesome.
I love the hard rock. I usually go 3-4 times a year.
Great video. Thank you.
It sounds like they don’t plan to knock it down but will have deep renovations.
hard rock is my most favorite hotel ever i been so much times
Love your videos, they are so helpful! What building would you recommend to be close to the central area? Central pool, beach lobby etc. 😎
Go to Mexico tulum beaches and hotels. I am looking to check those out versus Cancun soon
Great job!
🤝
Legendary (members)is part of their time share group
Loved watching this video! You were very thorough and articulate. I’m looking to book a family trip this year. Would you recommend this for an almost 14 year old? My other 2 kids are older so this is more for him to get the experience of an all inclusive. Which month would you recommend best weather wise for visiting? Any other details I should know? Which room/view did you book for this video?
This hard rock is designed to provide a fun, enjoyable experience to people of all ages, from 8 - 80. For a 14 year old, it's probably one of the best properties. Anytime between November and April is solid.
Are all drinks included or do they try to upgrade you? Do you have bottles in the room?
I have been to plenty of resorts and Hard Rock Punta Cana is my all time favorite. The hibachi show alone is enough reason to visit this resort!!
Perfekt 👌👍
