Although it's a very nice and heart warming gesture, I feel his manager probably approved it try and make him look like he's a very humble and kind man, again not denying his generosity but I feel unless anonymous, celebrity give aways are for gain in popularity. Just my opinion.

Ironically this video is 5 yrs old and I saw Drake in concert last month and he literally singled out a fan in a wheel chair and said he would pay for all their medical treatments for the rest of their life. I'm not a hater, I listened to drake since 2008 and still do. He's a talented guy in the music and business department and knows how to gather a team of talented people like "40" who help him release hits. I'm speaking from an objective point of view instead of just dick-riding drake like some sheep, this is an obvious marketing strategy to help grow his fame (I'm aware that he is already rich and famous though " you could be someone today and just be nobody tomorrow") This video reminds me of the "Giving money to homeless people" Where they give out $1000 dollars but get 10 x the profit from ad-revenue, Drake is gonna get every single penny back from doing this, he was merely putting money from one pocket into another and there's nothing wrong with giving others and trying to spread a positive message but he's getting too much credit for it, do you even think he's the one who came up with the idea? He's gonna receive credit for it to promote his brand. In the video it seems more like he is flexing and bragging about giving the money away. If you add the
donations up it amounts to $350k so where did the other $650k go?. clearly not into charity... I don't believe everything someone else says word for word, if you wanna get manipulated go ahead but i'd rather see the facts first.
