As much as I disliked Bai Jue for his treatment of Houchi/Shanggu and his son these scenes melted my heart. Bai Jue was very lucky that his son was willing to give him a chance. Although he had his reasons for keeping his from his son it was so heartless. When Bai Jue heard his son calling him "father" for the first time and shed a few tears I couldn't help but cry. You could see his love for his son written all over his face. Such a great father/son moment

Actually he’s not that powerful. He was born of 2 True Gods so his body is True God’s so he can easily live in the God realm. However, True God is a manifestation of nature, for example Bai Jue is the manifestation of fire (or water and mountain in the novel). A True God is the natural element himself that he represents. But because YuanQi was “born” from True Gods, not “created” from any natural resource so his power doesn’t have its root like his parents. In the 2nd book, YuanQi has a very high status since he was born but his power can’t catch up with his status so it’s very difficult for him to prove himself.

He's lucky that his son was willing to give him a chance. I love their interaction. It's hard not to melt when seeing them together. @@shontelagrone8713 Yeah,even when it's totally his intentions to make Shanggu hate him,his way is truly of a jerk. But just like u when the little bun called him father and he cried,I can't help but tear up.
@@s.e.serella3531 he was such a jackass that I found it hard to sympathize with him. His time with his son is one of the only times I felt for him. I have to admit that I was a little happy when Yuanqi told him to leave because he doesn't accept him...lol The hurt in Bai Jue's eyes after hearing his son's word gave me a little joy but I also felt bad for Yuanqi his father's actions really hurt him. Bai Jue trying to explain to his son why he neglected him all those years came a little too late because now he's planning on leaving him forever. His whole plan is asinine.

@@s.e.serella3531 I totally agree. I'm with you I felt bad for him when he was going to die. I understood why he chose to sacrifice himself but his actions to protect her drove me crazy. Him being an ice cube for so long is the reason why he didn't understand the how she would react when she learned the truth. I felt so bad for her when Tianqu told her that Bai Jue never stopped loving her.I felt her pain in that moment.
