  • John examines a Lucas RB 340 Voltage Regulator that was used on the MGB from 1962-1967. It has three bobbins that control the cutout, current regulator, and the voltage regulator. The bobbins can be adjusted as needed.
The previous MG regulator was a 2 bobbin control box that contained the voltage regulator and a cutout.
    Recorded in November, 2023.

So that’s what’s inside that box! All these years, and I thought it was full of Pixie dust 😊.

So I' getting too much voltage to the battery (15.5v or more), which direction to turn the Voltage bobbin dial to lower the voltage?
