The Galesburg Diesel Shop has a nice variety of locomotives, both old and new. The yard was great to watch and hear the freight cars move down into the yard. I wish this show would be at least 20 minutes long.
@Railhead1956 Peter it works for me but I sometimes get that on other video's then a day later its fine. Not sure what causes it. Thanks for the comments.
The last half of the video shows what they do at the hump yard. The train is pushed up over a hump. A crewman cuts the cars off and they roll down the other side of the hump, through a series of switches and retarders (brakes) that are computer-controlled. The cars are sorted from one train into a series of many other trains or blocks of trains. It's a very efficient method for switching cars as long as the tracks and equipment are maintained.

Outstanding video. Good to see those Norfolk Southern units out there.
Whoa! It doesn't take nearly as long to hump these cars than in the other rail yards I've seen. Impressive!
Nice to see so many diff engines.....
Really enjoyed the video ! I live only about 30 miles from the site and trains from there go by my home every day (about 50 to 80 daily) !
Really great hump video as well as the shop vids

Very poor editing. I can't watch more than a minute.
Never mind you'll get over it.
