Rin Tsukishima ...Actually, having the lead male wounded/sick is part of the K-drama formula. If the writers are seasoned professionals, they will purposely write in a "wound/sick" scene for the male lead. It's the "shift" needed to drive the story forward. Think about it, usually the lead couple starts out being thrown into a situation where they're forced into each other's company when normally, they wouldn't be attacted to each other. They start to like each other but resist the feelings. Then the male lead becomes the female lead's protector in some way, and is always conveniently on hand to rescue her from dangerous situations. At this point, one or both of them may still be resisting their feelings, but then...wait for it...BAM!! The male lead gets either sick (let's say from being too cold after rescuing her from drowning for example) or in this case, wounded--he takes a stab wound meant for her. Since he's in this predicament because of her, she feels obligated to take care of him. At some point during his care, her feminine motherly/nurturing insticts kick in, and she finds herself curiously wanting to stay by his side through his pain/illness. She becomes freer in showing emotion toward him because, well, the guy is flat on his back, poor baby (lol). SHE's protecting HIM because he cannot care for himself at the moment, and that's when she realizes that she really DOES love him. See what the writers did there? They paired the lead characters in their ultimate roles (male/protector female/nurturer), then isolated them, switched their roles, then put them back, each realizing they really did need each other in their original roles all along, aaaaand...they live happily ever after! THAT'S why you will usually see a "wound/sick" scene--basic Kdrama 101 lol. Being a Nightingale at heart, I dont watch a drama unless I KNOW there's a scene like this. In fact, that's why i clicked in the thumbnail. I wasnt going to start this drama until i knew it had a GOOD Nightingale scene. So now that i know, im off to watch episode 1!!
I think it was the blowing on his wound that she was doing, he said that he was feeling ticklish with it! LOL! I'm sure there is another reason aside from being ticklish! He was probably trying to keep his wandering hands away from her! :P
The first part when Bong Hee gave him food and did not leave until he eats, for some reason it reminded me of how to train your dragon. When toothless gave Hiccup the fish and didn't take his eyes off Hiccup until he eats it. Sorry if this sort of dampened the cute romantic mood. Lol! But it reminded me of a cute scene of one of my favorite animated films. Lol!
There's only 1 week left to meet JiBong couple, Mr.Bang, Mr.Byun,... Hope that there will be a full and happy ending for all of them.😉 I'm not ready yet to say goodbye😢
