They people stole his supplies was an inside job and he spoke of the exploitation of over charging and it is because they know you are not there. The less you tell people the better you are. Show evidence of how he got the funds to build such a house based on his income or lack of income??! Then they will ask his sister for western union receipts or money gram receipts then they will award the house to the sister and arrest the brother!! The Authorities will arrest the brother on their own and make it a state case!! They do that in the Eastern Caribbean States!! JAMAICA SHOULD ADAPT THAT POLICY!! Initial Deposit, mid-point and final payment. Get a bill of quantity for each stage of construction and order your materials online. Anything come up missing, that’s on the contractor to find. The shed with cameras is an excellent idea as well. Better you invest in these things on the front end, than pay on the backend.

In the UK we call it a Schedule of Works. It outlines what will be done and when and how the structure of pay for the workers. It can also include penalties if the work is not completed by a certain date. When workers work on a daily pay rate they deliberately work slower as more days means more money for them. To get the best use out of the materials that you pay for and an efficient days work. You have to be there. Construction workers there are craven for the money quicker than the work they have done so it s in your best interest to keep the building moving along at a decent pace. I know you are grieving right now. The hours of work that you have put in to get that money has been manipulated out of your hands. You can't get that part of your life back.
