I love donations category. My sister and I send $150 each to a family in Africa who lost their jobs due the pandemic. It's a small amount in America but keeps this family housed and fed. We feel good knowing we are helping an actual family and suggest others do the same. Although we aren't wealthy we sacrifice by eating out less and hair.

I do almost identical like your category minus the health insurance and instead I have vacation category.

Question: When shopping at Walmart and basket has items from various categories, what do you suggest?
The Budget Mom does separate transactions based on what category each falls into. I've done that too at the self checkout. Hope it helps.
On my YNAB app, I split it into various categories so they reflect appropriately on the report. Or you just do separate transactions. Happy shopping!

New category for debt like car payments or credit card or student loan payments?
Where do you put medical expenses/medications other than insurance?
