- We were surprised to find out that the local bus had a space for big luggage. The ticket person even helped us, put our luggage at the back, of the bus. It was amazing! And a big money-saver too.
The bus ticket only cost us 590 LKR, which is around US$2, compared to the taxi, which would have been, a whopping US$65. Sure, the bus took a lot longer than a taxi would, but it was totally worth it for the savings.

I wanted to make a little clarification here,we take string hoppers with dhal and potato curry normally and "halapa" is taken as desert.we do not eat halapa with string hoppers

It was! This is my favorite trip in Sri Lanka.

Halapa is dessert like a thing. String hopers we usually eat with dhal , potato or chiken , fush curry mix with coconut sumbol . Baby jack fruit curry is one of favorite curry for string hoppers. Milk rice eat with fish curry or lunu miri ( dried chili , onions , salt and lime mixed past)
