If you create leaves, take the stick with the slit at the end. Slide the slit into one end of each leaf and twist slightly. Do this with several leaves and they become flower pedals. Arrange them and glue to make a more realistic flower.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've stared at this punch board for two days afraid to attempt using it! Then the light went on and I googled your tutorial because I knew you would have one! lol. You simplified everything so well. ty ty ty. :)
Thank you for this video. I just purchased this board for $9.99 and the stems for $2.99 from Tuesday morning! Super excited to play with this . Love your cards with this also.
Thank you for sharing... I'v had this board stashed in away in my cupboard for ages, I think it's time I got it out and made some flowers with it, Thanks again xxx
I am so excited! After watching your amazing video, I was able to find this flower punch board at Simon Says, regularly 24.99, on sale for only 9.99. Woo hoo!!!
Lovely flowers. Maybe the slit in the straight tool is for curling the flower petals. Love all your videos. One day I will put something on Maymay Made It and So Did I Facebook page. Love seeing all the different finished projects. Great inspirations.
I saw this online Amy and I was waiting to see someone do a demo on it. I love flowers too and thought it looked really cool. Glad to see that it is a another great tool! Can't wait to see Friday's video!
I have this punch and all the other punches and one thing I have to say is,USER FRIENDLY!!! They all work great!! I got the envelope notcher punch so I don't need to use adhesive. . I broke down and got the stem kit and will be using it to decorate flowers in the theme displays I make (Christmas, New Years, Easter...) Thanks for sharing.
I have this punch board for a while and to be honest was not impressed. I had a lot of problems with it so on the shelf it has sat. However after watching your video with the tips and tricks I think I am going to have to dust it off and try it again. You are a hoot to watch and I love how easy you make things to understand.
Oh my goodness, "Down and tortoise!!" I was laughing so hard! This was a great review. Thanks for sharing! I got this punch board a week ago and have loved playing with it.
Awesome instructional video....love the hints and tips. Also love the full bodied option! You are so creative! We think alike! Hope you have a wonderful night and thanks for posting! Hugs! Becca;)
Thank you MayMay for doing these we r remember keeping tools review. I want to get one for a long time now that you have show me how to use it I will get one.
Thanks for the Punch board review; love how the flower can out. I've been eyeing this punch board for a few months now. So with my coupon in hand, I can feel good about this purchase.
Great review. I'm disappointed it makes only such BIG flowers. I'm a card maker and those are just really big. I like the way you made your flower. I'll watch for Friday so I can see how you use it on a card. Thanks! xoxo Jen
I just saw this video now, nearly three years later!! Wonder if they still sell this thing? Anyhow, I think that tool with the slit is used to insert the petal and curl it, similar to quilling strips of paper, which I do all the time. I will check to see if I can still find and buy this tool, think I would enjoy it after seeing your video!
The pen with the split site, you can start to make a roll with it. Just put one site of the paper in between the split and start to roll it so you can make a stamp for in the middle and the stam to put the leaves on it
I really liked this product when it aired on HSN. I wish it made smaller sizes to be able to layer to use on cards. TFS the larger with two sheets of paper they seem to skip over some of those details when they air it on the show.
I agree about the smaller sizes. It isn't hard to make the larger ones it just takes two strips of paper instead of one. Please check out the "how to make cards using the flower punch video" I just love this tool! Thanks for watching!
Still a great tutorial 6 years later! Does anyone else find the punch really hard to push down? I have quite a few wrmk punches, but the flower one is so hard to press down xx is there anything I can do to make it better? Tyia xx
Oh now Amy...why would you make me wait until Friday! LOL Too bad we don't have a Hobby Lobby here. I really want the envelope punch board. But 20$ is a little rich for my blood. Besides, I have an envelope making kit that I got eons ago on QVC. I haven't bought an envelope since! It's called the Kreate-a-lope. I can't remember what it cost, but I'd bet it was under $20, or more like $15! Because I've always been cheap! Lol thanks for this and I look forward to Friday. Jess
Got to build some anticipation!! No really it is because I have promised other videos first. Remember you can use your coupon online as well and now Micheal's is accepting competitors coupons too! Hope that helps.
Who throws excess glitter in the trash?! They need to work on the vac to (1) have better suction FOR GLITTER and (2) add a spout or something to make it easier to pour the excess back in the container.
I love your videos. But... you have folded your flowers backwards. Fold them the other way it looks much better. You end up with triangles instead of squares.
Jamie Jagla The top brown one she did right. I too had trouble with that, having the nice side facing the front part of the flower. I finally figured it out.
Just found Maymay and absolutely love how she explains how things work. No faffing about, straight to the point. Thank you Maymay.

Yay, I have been working on some prototype cards using it. This things is really versatile.
Great review. I'm disappointed it makes only such BIG flowers. I'm a card maker and those are just really big. I like the way you made your flower. I'll watch for Friday so I can see how you use it on a card. Thanks! xoxo Jen
Yeah, it doesn't make smaller than three inches. It is better for scrapbooking and 3D projects. Glad you liked my review though!

I love the dimensional flowers, with the 7 petals.
Great instruction.

Very good explanation. I miss the lefthand version of this handy tool.
I was having problems , with which side to fold first, thanks for making it easier
The slit end of the wand is actually a quilling tool. It will let you roll a (narrow-ish) petal.
Thanks Amy, I have been thinking about getting this, I think you just convinced me.
Thanks Mimi
I don't think you will regret it, I have really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Love the flower punch board.
Really good review! I'm a visual person and your videos always make it less intimidating to try something new. Thanks!!! :)
Thanks Cindy, this one is definitely a good one to own.
Im going to get me one this week! Thanks for sharing Maymay
I enjoyed your demo so much that I ordered the Flower Punch Board. :-)
Yay, you will not be sorry, it is great!
I am having trouble making the 6" flower. I have cut 2 pieces but the flower wont sit flat, any advice.
So cute MayMay❣️ I thought the slot on the tool was to roll the petals, kind of like a paper bead tool.
What a fun addition to a pinwheel.
You are the best love how you explain things thank you
so cute maymay, thank you, for all your videos.
