It’s more that when I was trail coordinator we built the trail to require effort (even small amounts) on every hill…this trail is over 30 years old, and in 2003 we built much of what is there now. Once you get familiar there are places to recover speed from downhills. Glad you had fun
hope your enjoying the variety of trails around here. It's not Utah, but our community is pretty dedicated about the trails. I'd suggested looking up the MCMBA.org, CRAMBA.org and PotoMBA.org for more about local trail advocacy, events, and trail developments.
In the area proud lake, stony creek and dte are the best “flow” trails. Maybury has is old school Michigan xc trail. Some flow once you find the rhythm to it, and a few spots that are meant to be slower techy stuff.
Rode this trail today. It was a fun one. It does keep you on toes. Felt like there was more of an uphill than it was downhill.

Thank you for uploading this video. Moved from Utah and just started to shred Michigan trails. Will hit this trail tomorrow.

It does seem like a nice flowy trail. Can't wait to hit this one.

Awesome ride ❤
Thanks
I love this trail! Cool video
Thanks Serhiy, just getting back to making riding vids. New camera to figure out yet. New bike on the way too.
Looks doable. I need a new bike with better tires, but I'll take my old Huffy out there and give it a try.
"Run what you brung" is our saying...There is no shame walking parts until they are confident or skill level progresses. Have fun, be safe.
Looks like a nice speed. What was the lap time maybe 30 minutes?
No…not this time, we were having fun. Stopped a few times. But when I work I’m usually low 30’s. It was too cold and too early season to push it. 😉
can't believe we all rode rigid mtb's on that trail back then.....
It was a bit less chunky back then...but 26" 1.95 tires on rigid bike with pedal cages.
