Hi I'm new to guitar, I saw the tunning to this song but it suggested I have to tune the strings upwards and I was strictly advised against that when I started 😅 can someone pls explain without terminology cause I don't really comprehend any of that yet

I love this song! But i cant tune my guitar idk how i need apps and is there any names of drop f# and what's the tuning that's Similar to drop f#
Yeah, that's the tricky thing about deftones... I would suggest a quality tuner and basically you're looking for (from Low to High string) F#, C#, F#, B , E , A . Also, It helps to have fairly heavy gauge strings when going that low. Another method is to just do a drop D tuning then use a pitch shifter pedal and drop it 8 half steps. The sound quality can suffer a bit that way.
Use the Fender Tuner you can make your own tunings, it's really useful
