Mike and Jess, the Bee Gees wrote 1,030 songs, so the chances of you knowing many of them are a lot greater than you think!
The tallest one is the eldest brother, Barry, the other two are twins, Robin with the vibrato voice and Maurice whose deeper vocals also added to the brothers’ range of harmonies. Only Barry is still living, he’s 78 and exactly four years older than me, to the day! 😍
Their little brother, Andy, died in 1988 at just 30, of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle most likely caused by a virus.

Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, until the late 1950s. There, in 1955, they formed the skiffle/rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes. The family then moved to Redcliffe, in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia, and later to Cribb Island. After achieving their first chart successes in Australia as the Bee Gees, they returned to the UK in January 1967, when producer Robert Stigwood began promoting them to a worldwide audience. The Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (1977) was the turning point of their career, with both the film and soundtrack having a cultural impact throughout the world, enhancing the disco scene's mainstream appeal. They won five Grammy Awards for Saturday Night Fever, including Album of the Year.

You have just fallen down the best rabbit hole you could find. The Bee Gees started singing together when they were kids. Barry ( in the middle ) was 9 years old and Robin ( on the left ) and Mourice (on the right ) who are twins were 6 years old. They became famous in the U. S. In the 60's they write all their own music even though they can't read music. They have also written songs for other artist such as Barbra Strisand, Diana Ross, Dion Warwick, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rodgers, Celine Dion and others. They have been around making music for over 5 decades. Sadly Mourice passed away in 2003 .and Robin passed away in 2012. Barry is the only Bee Gee brother left. They also had a younger brother who was also a famous singer ( solo ) . But he passed away at 30 years of age
If you want to see how versatile their voices can be check out the song Nights On Broadway on the Midnight Special show. And their songs from the 60:s. They have so many good songs even passed the Disco era. Like For Whom The Beel Tolls, or You Win Again, or Alone, or Man In The Middle
. There is so many more, to many to mention. But you will not be sorry. ENJOY!? ❤❤❤

Stumbled across your reaction and was pleasantly surprised. I grew up in the 70’s and early 80’s. They don’t make music like this anymore. The Bee Gees were Maurice and Robin(twins) and Barry the lead singer. They also had a younger brother named Andy. He died from a drug overdose. The only one still alive is the oldest, Barry.

I've just recently found your channel and have to say how much I'm enjoying your reactions. It's so unusual to find someone from the far side of the pond who understands many of our greatest comedians and appreciates music from my era (I'm a 74 year old guy from the North East of England - home to stars like Sarah Milligan, Sting, Mark Knopfler, Eric Burden and many more). Keep reviewing ❤

That sound is still incredible to listen to. They were not just fantastic artists, but also prolific song writers. Maurice died from complications from surgery, whilst his twin Robbin, died from cancer. Barry was knighted and is now Sir Barry Gibb. They weren’t Australian, but UK 🇬🇧

Robin’s voice was always been my favourite. Plus I like his looks better. That aside. They had a different style in the 60’s and early70’s, then disco, then in the 90’s another style. Alone is my favourite from the 90’s, when Robin does his solo I melt. I really enjoy their music from the 60’s and early 70’s, more Robin. They are British, lived in Australia for a number of years, returned to England

Hi Guys greetings from Liverpol and The Bee Gees truly are the most iconic vocal group of all time and they are all brothers Barry,Robin and Maurice. Sadly Barry and Maurice have passed away.
Barry the lead singer the good looking one! They are originally from the isle of man and grew up in England 🇬🇧 before emigrating to live in Australia in there early teens and they actually speak with English Accents!!! The Bee Gees never made a bad record and there greatest hit was "HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE" Barry Gibb actually sang with COLDPLAY at Glastonbury.

I believe they were only in Australia for about 9 years before moving back to the UK. The article you looked at showed the origin as Australia, probably because they launched the Bee Gees band while still living there. They are British, although Barry now has dual British and US citizenship. They came back to the UK so that they could take their success to the next level. The most important thing is that people show them some love for the incredible songs that they gave us.

In a number of reaction videos to this song, they all ask what genre were the Bee Gees, country, rock, R&B, etc.
The Bee Gees were unique in that they were their own genre.

"Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, until the late 1950s. The Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (1977) was the turning point of their career, with both the film and soundtrack having a cultural impact throughout the world, enhancing the disco scene's mainstream appeal."

The Bee Gees had a talent for moving with the times in their musical career. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin in 2012. I loved their later music (Still Waters 1997 album).

My late wife’s favourite group. Incredible recording and sung in such a relaxed way, especially Robin with his hands on his hips. Prodigious composers too. Jess did well not to melt under the Barry Gibb effect. I have watched so many reactors fall in love/lust with him whilst watching this. ❤
