SAIC Audi expands its Chinese portfolio with the introduction of the new Q6, marking a significant addition to their lineup in Asia. This model presents an adorned version of the Volkswagen Atlas, enriched with an abundance of technology, luxury, and an array of impressive features.
Distinctive in its design, the Q6 showcases a substantial, octagonal grille flanked by vertical air intakes, accentuating Audi's signature aesthetic. The hood features sleek, slender lighting units, while a rear-spanning styling element houses the taillights, setting it apart from the concurrently developing Audi Q6 E-Tron.
The new Q6 provides customers with a choice between two engine options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a 2.5-liter six-cylinder. The smaller engine generates 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the larger variant elevates the power to 295 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, propelling the three-row SUV from 0 to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in a swift 7.3 seconds.
Distinguished as Audi's inaugural model in China featuring the fourth-generation EA888 2.0T engine, the Q6 ensures a Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard across its lineup. Furthermore, Audi offers an adaptive dynamic suspension system, enhancing the model's driving dynamics and adaptability.
Size-wise, the Q6 stands as Audi's largest SUV, measuring 200.75 inches (5,099 millimeters) in length, 79.29 inches (2,014 mm) in width, and 70.23 inches (1,784 mm) in height, with a wheelbase spanning 117.32 inches (2,980 mm). This expansive footprint allows for a maximum cargo space of up to 84.36 cubic feet (2,389 liters), emphasizing both spaciousness and practicality in this upscale SUV.
