I have a reloop stand hub. Pre ordered it from Sweetwater. Used it a bunch of times in the last few months. This past week, working a gig, the power cord was kicked out of the socket by an event staff member, the stand hub disconnect, and unmounted my external hard drive? So when the system finally turned back on the computer was unable to read the drive and was unable to mount it. Have to plug in a back up drive to finish the gig. I have since been able to mount the hard drive says later but the reloop stand hub was the source of the problem. In the past my hard drive plugged directly into the laptop so if the power went out the mixer was the only thing that lost power. My laptop was powered and doesn’t shut off. Now with it plugged into the stand if u accidentally pull the power be careful
The hub built in to the stand is nice, but it's still just a hub. If you unplug the power from any drive while it's running, you can damage something called the "file system," which will make your drive unreadable by the computer until that file system on the drive is repaired. This happens to every hard drive on every computer, regardless of Mac or PC, and has been happening to drives that get unexpectedly disconnected during a read/write cycle for as long as there have been hard drives in computers, so I don't think it's fair to blame the stand hub for that.
I didn't test drives in every port, but there's 4 USB-A ports, so likely at least 4. Possibly a fifth on the bottom USB-c port, but then you might start running into power draw issues over the USB-c port on your laptop. Who would need 5 hard drives hooked up at once is beyond me, but I'm not here to tell you how to live your life ...
@@terrylema9175 You'll have zero problems with two drives running. This stand is made for all kinds of configurations, and each port supports plenty of power, so I think you'll really like it.
I see that alot of people made a big deal about this reloop dj stand but I think you should take a look a the Headliner gigastand usb the construction of this stand in my opinion is Superior. Just take a look reloop is 200 dollars and headliner is 149. Everybody tries to take advantage of the dj with these prices thank you
What do you think? Can you see yourself using this?
