I can't remember who told us about Jake someone in the flower farmer group - We bought his unmarked random dahlia tubers last fall or winter for this spring and wow was that an awesome deal
If you don't mind me asking do you run as an LLC, Partnership, or Sole Proprietorship? My younger sister and I are thinking of starting out small for the first few years to test the water and weren't sure if it would be ideal to file as LLC or Partnership and take advantage of tax benefits for equipment, etc. On a side note, we both thoroughly love your channel it has been the most insightful of all of the other channels I have run across. You're very honest, transparent, and absolutely hilarious. We both wish you great success!
I have a sole proprietorship. My father is an LLC and he does not recommend it at my scale. The yearly expenses could easily outweigh potential profit the first few years. If I ever need to, I can expand to an LLC.
Should check out color blends. I was pretty happy with their prices last year. and they're relatively local to you - they're in Bridgeport CT so obviously not like. LOCAL but - not the other side of the world

I saw those lime green glads on sale yesterday at Home Depot, picked them up (I like the unique things) and asked myself out loud, “What would you put with those?” And put them back. It’s funny you should mention them! I have limited space but am breaking new ground for peonies, irises, astrantia, daisies and something blue. Just today I placed an order with Schreiner’s Iris, and have placed many with Breck’s, Swan Island Dahlias, Wayside Gardens, Eden Bros, Holland Bulb, and Michigan Bulb to name a few. For seeds, I like Pinetree, Eden, and Select Seeds. I also buy from our lical garden stores - Horrock’s and Flowerland. Thanks for the video; I don’t really have a local flower friend yet!
Well, I went back for them, and they. Were. Gone. Oh well, wasn’t meant to be. I did pick up “The Chocolate” and “Black Beauty” varieties of glads which I wouldn’t have been drawn to before I was under your influence.
I've heard of both! Someone gave me a packet of Hudson Valley Celosia but I haven't tried it yet. I had to file with my county office for a business license. Every state/city is different.
