Keeby I love "You Will Know our Names"! Well, it doesn't start out that great, but I love the second half of the tune. I do agree that this needed to be in Smash, though.
I get the debate but all of Xenoblade's songs are awesome they hold lots of emotion that translate well into the battles they correspond with. But you do have to think it would be difficult to have all of these amazing songs translate well into smash, which needs a nice hook and intensity but not be overpowering that you'll be distracted from the battle. So it's unfortunate but it makes sense why they would use that one.

This, more than any other song I know of in the game, is EXTREMELY evident that Yoko Shimomura composed it. Her style is pretty much "beautiful violin melody with stacatto piano in the background to compliment it", because she does that ALL THE TIME in Kingdom Hearts. You can really hear the same style of music direction in this song that you hear repeatedly in battle themes throughout the whole Kingdom Hearts series. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, either - Kingdom Hearts, as a whole series, has my third favorite OST's out of all game series (Xenoblade is second because of a single game - Final Fantasy VI has the best OST ever, IMO, with Xenoblade itself beating out the rest of the Final Fantasy series for music). There ARE other songs where it's evident that miss Shimomura had a major role in, but just compare this song's overall feel to some of the latest Kingdom Hearts music from Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, and you will DEFINITELY be able to tell.
*One Winged Angel intensifies* But yeah, even though FFVII had really good music, the technological limitations sort of stopped it from being the best that it could have been. Maybe the remake will fix that, but I still think that VI took advantage of everything the software had, even with significantly more limitations than the PlayStation. If we're going off of final boss themes alone, I just slightly prefer Dancing Mad to One-Winged Angel. But of course, Dunban's weapon still beats them all.
As successful as the game was, I'd be surprised if we don't get a stage and a few songs from XBC. I'm not sure we'll be seeing Shulk as a full-fledged challenger (maybe an assist trophy?), but I certainly wouldn't mind.

I really wish that the Boktai content in the American release of BN6 did include that little sidestory. I recently was messing with the game in an Emulator and was seeing how well they erased the data, the Django chips themselves (except for Okento and the solar gun chips) would all crash the american release, but the program advances were all kept, but sprites for Okento and Django are missing, Hackjack chips just make the game crash but the EX version of the Solar gun works 100% fine, but the only way to get it is through gold mystery data, for some reason they didn't remove any of the cut chips in the American release from the GMD drop ratio. Kinda sucks how Capcom took a nosedive in the recent years. :L
Ahhh. Okay. Sorry about that. As far as the Boktai series is concerned, the games are about a ruined world where almost all life has ended, because of Vampires known as immortals, which have come to wipe out all life on Earth. Django's role in this comes in to play when his father is slain by a Vampire known as The Count of Groundsoaking Blood, which led Django to do whatever it took to avenge his father. With his father's Gun Del Sol, a special gun capable of firing pure sunlight that can purify any undead being, along with a special entity known as Otenko, "The Messenger of the Sun", they set out to defeat the Count, only to find that there is something far greater at hand than they thought. A group of Vampires have created a pact, and are ultimately doing whatever it takes to reach the moon, but what lies on the moon, is far more deadly than anyone could have expected... From its' beautiful soundtrack to it's brilliantly designed boss fights and puzzles, I can personally say that the Boktai series is easily one of the best I've ever played on the Gameboy Advance! :)
I'm going to try to reupload the cutscenes in glorious 1080p (in game 4x enhanced textures and texture pack) in my free time because all can find has the original wii resolution (we can all agree that it's not the best)

The music sends so many chills down my spine. It's pure eargasm for me. Absolutely fantastic and I've yet to hear a Xenoblade Chronicles X soundtrack that draws me in the moment it plays. I generally wait till it picks up but this.... my god. Maybe I am being overly expressive but you know I can't help it, it's THAT amazing for me.
Jinsei Cast And Xenoblad Chronicles X will be an amazing game I'm sure, I am pretty hyped myself. But if there isn't endless talking in the battles, it will be half as good as the first already :P

When Chugga started LP'ing Xenoblade I was over the moon because my favourite game would be getting the recognition it deserves. But... I don't know. What with a lot of his followers commenting without proper knowledge of playing the game, and the 'really feeling it' meme, it feels like something magical got lost. Call me a hipster or whatever, but can anyone else who has played the game relate? Or do I just sound spoilt?
I will admit that I partake… A lot… in the I'm really feeling it meme. However…. Do I like it if I am looking at a standpoint of the game? NO. I really want this game…
Yeah I know what you mean. As much as I love Smash Bros and that Shulk was included, I don't like that everyone is now jumping on the Shulk bandwagon and acting like they know everything about Xenoblade Chronicles. Also, seeing so many uninformed people on the XCX videos who think that because it has Xenoblade Chronicles in the title, it's about Shulk, and they're disappointed that it doesn't have Shulk and the Monado in it, when they haven't even played the game itself. That really pisses me off. This series is kind of special when it's not as popular and mainstream as other JRPGs like FF. To me, it's too good for mainstream. If that makes any sense at all.
admitedly I didn't give this game any attention while I knew about it until Smash Bros. And while me and a friend enjoyed playing as shulk just to spam taunts and BACKSLASH (most were accidental cuz 3ds is a mess to play with) it made me want to know the game not in a "WOAH I'M REALLY FEELING IT" way (actually it was partly the music...I'm a sucker for awesome video game music). But I did rent the game after seeing him in Smash to give it a shot and it was one of my best decisions ever. AND I neither believed Shulk would be in XCX either. I do want more than ever to make Shulk one of my mains in smash tho after playing that game, he's just too epic to overlook (but I'm still so much better with Link).

How can you overhype a game that hard? Undertale is reall good , but not close to be one of the best games ever created. And Xenoblade is more then close to that.
Undertale is good, but for a story based RPG I didn't care for the Mettaton character or the ambiguity of Frisk's gender, especially when everyone from the Dr. to Papyrus wants to date/flirt with him/her? Gameplay was amazing though. XC was amazing in every way I can think of

I'm actually listening to this while reading chapters for a writing assignment I havent started that I wanted to do last night, and then use today for my other, bigger assignment, but here I am trying to make time for 2 things in one day now.
I'm not sure if this is just me, but I think Xenoblade X is going to need a VERY strong Bionis leg to stand upon if it hopes to be as amazing as this game was to myself and other fans. The music, the story, perfect characters, atmosphere, landscapes, etc. Xenoblade X seems like it will have a more futuristic tone to it and the Main Menu theme when compared to this games, which doesn't really leave my expectations as high. P.S (I'm not even a fan of games that are in this genre: Final Fantasy, Bravely Default, Kingdom Hearts; but, Xenoblade Chronicles was the first game to actually make me love at LEAST one game in this type of setting which I thought was never possible...so please X...please marvel to us like this game did)
the graphics will look nice I don't doubt that, but everything else I mentioned above I'm still skeptical on, the sound hasn't impressed me from what we've seen nor has the setting but I'm still going to give it a chance and not just toss it aside.

I don't know when you actually hear it in the game, but when looking at the pic used in this vid...gives the feeling of the two golems fighting a fast paced battle and having bunches of ships fighting in an full-scale war. I can even vividly imagine it. everything blowing up while the golems continue their onslaught against each other, and some chars standing near the top of the mecha golem as the commanders of it's armies with some sort of super-weapon kinda like a huge sniper...
Other fights that could work with this song: the other metal face fights, Dickson at colony 6, and this one might be a stretch, but Xord in the ether mine since all of those are battles that were previously left unfinished

From its' beautiful soundtrack to it's brilliantly designed boss fights and puzzles, I can personally say that the Boktai series is easily one of the best I've ever played on the Gameboy Advance! :)
I'm going to try to reupload the cutscenes in glorious 1080p (in game 4x enhanced textures and texture pack) in my free time because all can find has the original wii resolution (we can all agree that it's not the best)

The music sends so many chills down my spine. It's pure eargasm for me. Absolutely fantastic and I've yet to hear a Xenoblade Chronicles X soundtrack that draws me in the moment it plays. I generally wait till it picks up but this.... my god. Maybe I am being overly expressive but you know I can't help it, it's THAT amazing for me.
Jinsei Cast And Xenoblad Chronicles X will be an amazing game I'm sure, I am pretty hyped myself. But if there isn't endless talking in the battles, it will be half as good as the first already :P

You want a lot of talking? Well there is Soul Voices if you aren't aware. Basically respond to your team-mate's voice by using the appropriate skill which will increase the damage output.

Sometimes the moral of the story just never changes
When Chugga started LP'ing Xenoblade I was over the moon because my favourite game would be getting the recognition it deserves. But... I don't know. What with a lot of his followers commenting without proper knowledge of playing the game, and the 'really feeling it' meme, it feels like something magical got lost. Call me a hipster or whatever, but can anyone else who has played the game relate? Or do I just sound spoilt?

Yeah I know what you mean. As much as I love Smash Bros and that Shulk was included, I don't like that everyone is now jumping on the Shulk bandwagon and acting like they know everything about Xenoblade Chronicles. Also, seeing so many uninformed people on the XCX videos who think that because it has Xenoblade Chronicles in the title, it's about Shulk, and they're disappointed that it doesn't have Shulk and the Monado in it, when they haven't even played the game itself. That really pisses me off.
This series is kind of special when it's not as popular and mainstream as other JRPGs like FF. To me, it's too good for mainstream. If that makes any sense at all.
admitedly I didn't give this game any attention while I knew about it until Smash Bros. And while me and a friend enjoyed playing as shulk just to spam taunts and BACKSLASH (most were accidental cuz 3ds is a mess to play with) it made me want to know the game not in a "WOAH I'M REALLY FEELING IT" way (actually it was partly the music...I'm a sucker for awesome video game music). But I did rent the game after seeing him in Smash to give it a shot and it was one of my best decisions ever. AND I neither believed Shulk would be in XCX either. I do want more than ever to make Shulk one of my mains in smash tho after playing that game, he's just too epic to overlook (but I'm still so much better with Link).
Damien Gagné I knew from the point I heard that it was a "spiritual sequel" that the monaco and Shulk probably wouldn't be in there.

How can you overhype a game that hard? Undertale is reall good , but not close to be one of the best games ever created. And Xenoblade is more then close to that.
Undertale is good, but for a story based RPG I didn't care for the Mettaton character or the ambiguity of Frisk's gender, especially when everyone from the Dr. to Papyrus wants to date/flirt with him/her? Gameplay was amazing though. XC was amazing in every way I can think of

I'm not sure if this is just me, but I think Xenoblade X is going to need a VERY strong Bionis leg to stand upon if it hopes to be as amazing as this game was to myself and other fans. The music, the story, perfect characters, atmosphere, landscapes, etc. Xenoblade X seems like it will have a more futuristic tone to it and the Main Menu theme when compared to this games, which doesn't really leave my expectations as high.
P.S (I'm not even a fan of games that are in this genre: Final Fantasy, Bravely Default, Kingdom Hearts; but, Xenoblade Chronicles was the first game to actually make me love at LEAST one game in this type of setting which I thought was never possible...so please X...please marvel to us like this game did)

the graphics will look nice I don't doubt that, but everything else I mentioned above I'm still skeptical on, the sound hasn't impressed me from what we've seen nor has the setting but I'm still going to give it a chance and not just toss it aside.

I don't know when you actually hear it in the game, but when looking at the pic used in this vid...gives the feeling of the two golems fighting a fast paced battle and having bunches of ships fighting in an full-scale war. I can even vividly imagine it. everything blowing up while the golems continue their onslaught against each other, and some chars standing near the top of the mecha golem as the commanders of it's armies with some sort of super-weapon kinda like a huge sniper...
