Well now we know why Suri hasn't moved on in 3 years she's been listening to that bitter Editor. Suri needs to move out of the apt ASAP. I can't believe that chick had the nerve to say its not obsession its love. Really? She dated Seongil for like 5 minutes 3 years ago, and he can't stand her and hasn't since their relationship ended badly. He spent 2 of those 3 years away in the army without contacting her. And now there is no reason for them to even be around each other to perpetuate her "love" for him. Its just her going around feeding cats and thinking about how awesome he is. Suri even had a moment of clarity where she said she thinks she needs help, but that chick told her not to. That editor told Yangsun's aunt that she wants to be alone. But it seems more like she wants to have Suri live with her forever as her sidekick.
All that said, she has more reason to be in love with Seongil than Seongil has for being in love with Yangsun. That idiot does a marriage proposal without ever going on a real date with Yangsun. At least, Suri and Seongil had romantic feelings for each other at some point. Even during her gold digger phase, she did get him his big break, when he couldn't keep a job previously. I do believe she should move on, but only because Seongil hasn't really shown any traits worthy of such infatuation.
blackrazor1 Even though Yangsun isn’t into him and he should also move on, Seongil and Yangsun have remained friends during the 3 years and hang out together all the time. At this stage of the game Yangsun and Seongil have spent more time together than Yangsun/Chiwung and Seongil/Suri combined. They haven’t gone on any “romantic” dates, but Yangsun knows very well that Seongil is spending time with her because he wants to be with her as her man.
EloiseInParis They are cordial now, but he would've been back from the army about a year. In all this time, it appears he hasn't asked her to start dating. We also know Yangsun has rejected every romantic advance from Seongil. The burden of his feelings will at some point outweigh his usefulness as a friend. The writers have had 100 episodes to make Seongil a viable 2nd lead, but they keep failing. Suri is only hurting herself. She isn't chasing after Seongil. They only see each other at the office. If Seongil doesn't want to see Suri, he could just not go to that building. There's no reason for an out of work actor to have an office. Any business he has with Segi could be conducted over the phone. Suri isn't going to just ignore him, when they run into each other. Not that any of this matters. The writers have wasted so much time there aren't enough episodes left to do anything other than have Seongil and Suri reconcile as a couple. The grandpa is beginning his change of heart and Seongil will most likely follow. The only reason they broke up in the first place was Seongil overheard the conversation with Suri's ex, but he didn't learn anything his grandpa hadn't told him earlier.
this is definitely going on my list of "never watch again" like with melody of love, it's getting annoying. I'm not even sure if I want to watch it on weekdays until its over or stop watching now and just watch it all in one go after the last episode.
The more I see of Jieun's mom, the more I can't stand her. Now she's knitting sweaters. Is she freaking kidding me. Leave that man alone, and let him go back to his WIFE and family. Because he never divorced Yangsun's mom, Jieun's mom is a side chick. Maybe instead of Seongil she should go to America.
