- Today we dive into an amazing performance from American Siblings Billie Eilish & Finneas, Live from the Oscar Ceremony 2022. "No Time to Die" is the theme song from the James Bond film of the same name. The single debuted at number 1 on the UK & Irish Singles chart ! It became Eilish's first number-one single in the UK & was the second Bond theme to top the UK Charts ! What Do Ya'll Think ?!

Billie and Finneas wrote this song, so it’s a very cool combination of her personal style and all the great sounds that are typically found in a Bond song. Personally, I prefer the full version of the song (like she performed live at the Brit Awards), instead of this cut back version. But she and Finneas did a fantastic job on this performance at the Oscars. I’m happy for their win.

I really enjoyed this live version of the song, in which Billie nailed the vocals and amped it up toward the end! In terms of vocal style and singing even better live, the other singer that comes to mind is AURORA.

I prefer her performance at the Brit Awards. The Oscars performance was cut up for length, and it felt somewhat skittish, though no fault of her own. The Brit Awards performance was in its full glory, with Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr, and done just before Covid hit in 2020. No time to die, Indeed.

And that performance (in my opinion) wasn’t even her best performance.. also bc during these events she’s doing a tour so her voice must also be "tired". I really recommend you to hear it even if only on your own, but it’s even better and it’s also the original and complete one. There Billie brings out her particular vocal vibrato.
Btw .. Billie and Finneas are phenomenal, they are really true artists, they create true art!! So young, but so mature as artists.
When they wrote and produced this song she was only 17/18 years old and he 21/22. So insane🔥

Artist of your son's generation, how do you get along with the music of this era? you like ? mostly not?
They are both really talented. I feel the song is fine. It feels like a Bond song, so in that sense it did the job. But it also feels like a generic Bond song that only fits the credits. The chorus is nothing special. I mean, are we really going to remember this song even 1 to 2 years from now? In terms of Bond songs it will get lost in the mix. In terms of Billie Eilish songs, it doesn’t stand out either
She just doesn’t do it for me. She gets an Oscar and Duran got no awards for the ONLY Billboard #1 Bond Theme?! I’ll admit that McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” is probably the best Bond theme, however.
The Oscars have always been inconsistent. I agree regarding Duran Duran. The Oscars always kowtow to cycles of internal politics and various social bandwagons. That said, I really liked the performance by Billie Eilish and Finneas -- I think it was a level up from the original recording, particularly as it built toward the end.
Best theme song is Adele's Skyfall. Sorry not sorry
Also I love Billie's NTTD as well...it had that perfect bond farewell theme for the final James Bond film of Daniel Craig... She and Finneas deserved their win.
