@@DimitriDekyvere Oké, cool. Ik heb nu de basisset en de uitbreidingsset van Lego Spike. Kan ik dit met een extra uitbreidingsset maken (dus met 8 extra zwarte tandheugels) of zijn die gele tandheugels ergens los te koop? Ik heb geen Mindstorms-set.

@@pinkypepper je kan 8 zwarte tandheugels gebruiken. Als je gele wil kan je die vast via bricklink bestellen. Of als je toegang hebt tot oude FLL sets, daar zaten dit jaar ook gele tandheugels in...

The main reason is to lower the point of gravity. It also helps to protect the robot if he hits something.

Hello Dimitri, I did like to know - It is a mandatory requirement to have Spike Prime expansion set - 45680 to build SwirlBot . Lego is presently selling an expansion set model no - 45681 . Can this project be built using the expansion set no - 45681 . Please advise and confirm

Yes, that is the same set. They added a part and gave it a new number 45681. But remember you need 8 extra 'banana' gears too. See intro.

Their main purpose is to lower the center of gravity. But they also protect the robot if he bumps in to something.

The yellow gear is from the 42055

That's right, or from sets 10257: Carousel or 41375: Heartlake City Entertainment Pier. The black variant can be found in the Spike expansion set of 42082: Rough Terrain Crane or 42096-1: Porsche 911 RSR or 42100: Liebherr R 9800 and they were also in the 45806: FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge 2018 - Into Orbit set.
But I just ordered them on Bricklink.

Unfortunately RC is not yet possible with SPIKE, so this is still on my to do list. In the movie you see a programmed sequence.

@@Unknown-sl1qr you can program it on an ipad. If you use the mindstorms Robot Inventor app, you can program it to be remote controlled. But my demo program is made with an old version of the Spike app, it propably won't work anymore.😕 LEGO made several updates since then and i don't know it it is still compatible with programs from the first generation.

That code was made with a very early release of the Spike app. You could try it in an older Spike version.
