Swami Sarvapriyananda is currently the President of the Vedantic Society of New York which is a part of the RamKrisna Mission. He has got a series of lectures on Vedantas, Upanishads and Gita which you may watch. He is an excellent orator and a true scholar and one of the best scholars of Hindu scriptures and Philosophies.

Hey Zuzana, just sharing my opinion , last while commenting you mentioned consciousness(Turiya) is part of god. The idea or the thought of god also exists in the waking state. so there is no god either. Turiya in our regular religious terms can be refered to as god(for our easy reference and understanding). Turiya, Aatma,God, Brahman, consciousness, awareness , soul are all synonyms.

HInduism has 4 broad schools of practices(yoga)
    1. Bhakti (devotion) 2.Karma(action) 3.Gyaan(knowledge) 4.Raj(related to the energy points in every living being called 'chakras')
Here Swamiji is lecturing on Gyaan yoga. this school doesn't have anything to do with rituals, worship or even the concept of praying to God, it is just pure self enquiry ... more of a philosophical way of trying to get enlightened...
But in another lecture he says ,since we are humans, it is difficult to generally not be controlled by our mind and emotions , hence Bhakti yoga is easier ... where you make yourself feel devoted to a particular saguna (visible) representation of divinity (hence we have so many Gods and Godesses who all represent various aspects of divinity)... interesting fact is even Adi Shankaracharya who has written commentaries on this Upanishad and his grand guru Gaurapadacharya, has composed hymns on Mother Goddess...
Btw his lectures are such that u need to keep hearing them again and again to get a better understanding ....we hear it once, we feel we understood it, but then if u hear it again , u feel i am understanding it better now ...

That's why, I always tell you, and some other people, in a Hindu🕉️ community and from a other religion🙏🙏 people in India🇮🇳, and in a around the world🌎, who make a joke and moke on a Hindu🕉️ religion🙏🙏, by coating a Hindu🕉️ epic stories, by saying that, Hindu🕉️ religion🙏🙏 is a unscientific, irrational and illogical. But i always says in my comments that, basically, epic stories are a moral stories of a Hinduism🕉️. To tell the human being that, how much powerful💪👍 maybe you are, in the end, good👍 always wins🏆💪 over the evils, in the end. So, that is the main purpose of, Hindu🕉️ epic stories. But, our actual and real, spiritual, and philosophical knowledge📚 remains in a Vedas, Upanishads and Lord Shri Krishnas teaching of bhagavat githa. By reading📖 a this kind of Hindu🕉️ holy📚 books📚, even many famous western countries scientists, philosophers, famous personalities, converted themselves to a Hinduism🕉️. Not like a other religion 🙏🙏people do, who only convert a poor and uneducated Hindus and other communities, around the world🌎, in the name of social services, in the power💪 of money, but not by their religion's spiritual knowledge📚, I think. Like our great Hindu🕉️ spiritual and Phylospical books📚 like, Vedas, Upanishads and bhagavat githa, do to the educated🎓, well knowledged and rich people around the world🌎, by converting themselves to a Hinduism🕉️, because, not by the money power💪, because of its great knowledge📚, i think.

This is called Advaita or nondualism. One of the schools in Hinduism. Interesting thing is if you study deeper, it can bring all world religions including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism etc to a common ground. Famous example is somebody introducing an elephant to blind people and each of them having different imagination of what an elephant looks like because they all touched the different parts of elephant. Advaita is like combining all, so that all religions makes sense. Be it Abrahamic religions or Indic religions like Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism etc.
