    So used to seeing you around Colorado, this is a treat. We retire to RV Life next spring. Were seriously looking at the Ram 5500 when I first found your channel, though we have since opted for the heavy hauler route. We will be destination travelers for at least the first few years, doing family history research. I've started my search for camping locations that can accommodate our rig, and you are right now in the heart of where we will spend considerable time: Jericho, Vermont, Albany, NY, Lachute, Quebec. So I very much appreciate seeing this campground. I won't be staying for the pools, but the proximity to locations we want to explore, our rig serving as the base camp. So thank you for the tour. -Cheers

      You have a lot to look forward to come next spring, congrats!! And I'm happy this channel is doing exactly what I'd hope it would by helping someone in some way so if by doing the campground drive throughs is helpful, I'm a happy man. And thank you for the support.

      Hi Dave, my wife and I enjoy your videos as we contemplate possibility of that same lifestyle in the next few years possibly. We mostly are interested in the quality of New Horizon and possibly DRV fifth wheels. But I enjoy seeing the places you stop and camp as this gives us some insight to the actual lifestyle. We have a 1 ton pick up truck with a big foot truck camper. This allows us much mobility but very difficult when we are stationary. And we love coming home after that, so I don’t know if this lifestyle would be for us really, But we really enjoy the videos while we contemplate these things. Thank you!

      Lots of greenery. That place, when packed has the feeling of disorganization? That is the vibe I got.

      Hi guys!!!! Happy to hear you are enjoying our channel and hope you are having fun during the planning stages, that all part of the experience!! DRV was one of the lines we looked at and they make a very nice RV. They just told us "NO" to many times when we asked for something to be changed in the design and we could only be told no so many times and switched our attention to New Horizons LOL!!! Traveling in a 5th wheel of any size will make your experience totally different than in a camper obviously, be sure to keep us up to date on what you choose to da. AND thanks for watching and commenting.

    Thanks for sharing. Not a great place to stay but gets you to the area to see the sites.

      Yes, and we are more destination driven and not campground driven even though we do like nice parks. This one served it's purpose.

    I actually like your site for the shade. I have a hundred foot of water hose and three sections of sewer hose. we camp in a lot of state parks around home when people cut through my site i yell at them to get out I paid for this site not you. And i can’t understand why people buy an rv to park it permanently. I am not sick of pulling mine so we take vacations and go see the sites. Thanks for the video Dave.

      For shade that site was perfect, we like our Sat TV in the evenings, so it was rough for that purpose. I think many of the people that just walk through a site just don't think about it or know any better. I would hope that's the case rather than just pure disrespect for others.

    We are like you guys and the campground is just a place to park.. We typically spend very little time there. I do hate it when people are just rude. Lynn and Danny

    I thought the campground looked nice. Of course me and my husband were people watchers 😂 especially my husband, he loved to watch people. But, I did like the campground 😁 you are braver than I am leaving the bikes out though, I’d be too nervous doing that, I’d be afraid they would get stolen 😬

      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  2 года назад +2

      It would be a good people watching park for sure LOL!! The bikes don't sit out overnight like that, they either get chained up and covered or like that particular night they were folded up and put in the back of the car because we were headed out for a bike ride the following morning.

    You mentioned you had a tough time turning around. Can your truck/trailer turn 90 degree without concern of contact?

    • @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707
      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  2 года назад +1

      Yes, we can turn 90 degrees without worry of making contact. We just couldn't a lot anywhere because we were sort of in the country. . We finally found a business district with a apartment type complex that we wound our way through, while getting a number of looks from people wondering what the heck we were doing in there LOL!!!

    Nice campground, but your experience was our experience when we were there pre-COVID. We experienced rudeness and had children repeatedly running through our campsite. Very annoying that parents did not teach them campground etiquette.

    Walking through someone's campsite is like walking through their living room. Seems that common sense and courtesy have gone out the window.

      Although, this campground doesn't seem to have any accommodation for foot traffic. A big park to have no paths. But I totally agree it is a no-no, just observing what seems to be a flaw.

    • @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707
      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  2 года назад +1

      You are very correct in your observation; the park did not allow for any walkways to get from one long continuous road to another which IS a design flaw for sure. .

      Hmm, never thought about that, I had a one off made and honestly off the top of my head I don't remember by who but I can look into that, it shouldn't be hard.
