Got this gun last Christmas my experience with this gun is not the best. I tend to have a lot of misfires I don't know why... Over all if it didn't misfire so much it be amazing
I recommend calling Crosman (1-800-724-7486), even if out of warranty. Tell them you're experience this air pistol. The worse thing that can happen is it takes a few minutes of your time. They may send you a replacement MK45 or equivalent air pistol.
Should you use (pellet gun oil?) on your CO2's every time? I noticed my Croman Ak will lose all it's gas if you leave the clip with the 2 CO2's in. Which is infuriating.
The lubricant is called "Pell Gun Oil". I'm not sure if "Pell" is short for Pellet, but it can be used on CO2 Cartridges in air guns that shoot BB's or Pellets. I typically put a drop of Pell Gun Oil on the tip of each CO2 Cardtridge, prior to installation.
Hello! I am trying to decide on a 1.77 caliber air pistol that is under $40. This at the time this is my number 1 choose. Is there any gun that you know that is under $40, has around 450 fps, and is accurate? :)
Let's just say that the MK45 met my expectations, at the under $40 price point. You really can't expect blowback action, or metal slide and frame, at this price point.
Yes, there is actually a small amount of oil in the actual CO2 cartridge itself, you can smell the oil in the CO2 cartridge when you discharge it. Putting a drop of Pell Gun Oil on the tip of the CO2 cartridge can be thought of as preventative maintenance.
everytime i load the bb’s into the magazine and click the button to let the spring down why does the bb’s just shoot everywhere before i can even put it inside the gun
Sorry, I'm not sure as I did not have this issue with my MK45. Maybe a defective magazine, I recommend contacting Crosman Customer Service if still under warranty: 1 (800) 724-7486
Right, air gun laws vary, state by state and even city by city. New Jersey has the strictest air gun laws, where you must obtain an air gun permit. In addition, air guns in New Jersey can only be legally purchased from established firearm dealers. Here in the Rust Belt, I could setup a Howitzer installation in my backyard and nary a neighbor would say a peep.
Theres a new version of this one and it is much better....has tru glo sights, lost the knurl atop the grip, better mag release, better safety, less screws, more accurate and powerful than the one being reviewed and cheaper too...
I believe you are talking about the BB Magazine, have you tried placing your thumb over where BBs are escaping while releasing the BB follower from the tab?
Sorry to hear, if you believe your MK45 is defective I would immediately notify Crosman Support and get an RMA for return. Crosman will expect you to pay for shipping for the returned defective air gun. Ask that they compensate you for shipping by including CO2 cartridges with the repaired air pistol.
Did you drop the air pistol? Two screws, one located toward the grip and the other toward the barrel, are supposed to keep the slide in place. If you dropped the air pistol, you could have broken off the internal mounts, that keep the slide in place.

The Bear River BR45 is close to your spec: amzn.to/3b13Rb9
The Bear River BR45 is comparable to the Crosman MK45.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Thank you! What did you not like about the mk45?

Would it still work if I don’t put the oil on the co2 cartridge

Rust belt how do you like it.
I like the desert Camo motif of the Crosman MK45. This air pistol is very similar to the Crosman M1911BB.

Just push the slide down and it will lock down. Keep a finger in top to stop bbs if it releases
@@clinthineman7800 that dont help the bbs from launching out
I noticed if you don't have the mag full and you let the spring pop forward it will kick them out and have to hold the mag a certain way or same
I tried to put the co2 in and it went crazy and went everywhere why did that happen
There could be a defect with the piercing gasket, or you didn't tighten the piercing screw enough.
I just bought one on Amazon today and this should be more legal in San Francisco, CA!

Thanks for the tip, I will have to see if it is available on Amazon, so that I can review.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 if you want to get a glimpse of the new one, check out the video on it I did yesterday @ G.Whitfield youtube...have a great day!!
whenever i press the thing to allow the ammo to go up it just shoots out

does the slide work?
The slide is fixed on the Crosman MK45 and does not move.
Excellent Review.
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Is it metal or pliastic
This air pistol's body is polymer plastic.
Is this a replica of the 1911
Probably closer to the Remington RP45 Firearm Pistol
Crosman makes a 1911 version which is the same internally to the mk45
I just brought it today n jammed

Please someone help the slide came off and won’t go back on
Did you remove any screws from the MK45 before the slide came off?
@@rustbeltairgun8718 no
@@rustbeltairgun8718 it doesn’t line up or something
I'll have to take a look at mine to see what could have happened.

Its better then Walmart bb guns when they use to sell them 💯so if y'all liked those you will like this
Right, the MK45 is definitely an entry level CO2 air pistol.
That’s the same as me
can i be able to kill a coyote with it
Not before said Coyote eats you.
If it’s a single coyote then you may scare it if it’s a pack of them…run
Bad
My video, the air pistol, or both?
