This is the Novag Solo: a travel chess computer from 1987 with 8 levels for you to choose from. It is powered b7 a 8MHz processor. It has an estimated rating of 1500 USCF. It can save position in memory when turned off. In this video, I put it to the test against Chessnut EVo, which is an AI chess computer with a trainable engine.

Why didn't it play A3 ?
you mean before c4? Novag Solo has this issue with king safety. A lot of old computers though. they tend to underestimate the dangers.

@@jonathanbrewer7072 yes, a couple of moves before that it should have played it. didn't take king safety seriously
little solo played a good game.
it's the weakest of the bunch I think. Super VIP is much stronger but Sapphire and Sapphire II are even more so.
