Wondering what cross-country ski is best for you? Jack Steffen from Gorham Bike & Ski shows us five different options depending on your experience and where you intend to ski.
Nice Vid. I wonder why mohair skis are being called the "Newest" type of ski. We had the exact same thing in the 1970's They quickly fell out of favor because the mohair was prone to icing up and the mohair wore out. What has improved?
Nothing. The fish scale pattern lasts longer , do not become dirty and are longer wearing. For rental skis the mohair ski or quasi mohair ski is a disaster. This video is a Fischer advertisement. Madshus make good XC skis too.
@@MisterTMH true! I think Karhu came out with what we referred to as a "hairy" way back in the 1970's. It's snowing here today, and I'll go out with a twin skin, but I'll also have a pair of Madshus Zeros and some Atomic Beta waxable race boards in the truck as well. Probably the tracks will be a little soft for the waxables though
Great vibe and very informative. Keep it up!
Super informational, thanks for this!
When talking about the ski widths, it would be helpful to describe what those widths are; 60mm, etc.
Great video. Which is the second option? Can you share with me a link?
Amazing video!
Glad you think so!
