My grandfather had one of these. I always liked how it had a wooden case and chrome details. The sound was rubbish compared to the stereo my parents had, or even the cassette radio I had as a kid, but I have fond memories waking up as a kid, walking into the kitchen, my grandpa reading the newspaper, the radio playing in the background and me smelling freshly made pancakes my grandmother probably made a few minutes before I woke up. I still keep this radio at home. I don't know if it works and I'll never use it, but I do want to keep it.
In fact, Selena is a complete analogue of the Ocean-209 or 214 radio receiver, which was produced for the domestic market of the USSR. It’s just that Selena was produced specifically for export to Western European countries, and, accordingly, had higher frequencies of the HF subbands, and the European FM range 88...108 MHz (in the USSR there was a different FM range - 65.8...74 MHz). The ancestor of this internal design, of course, is the progenitor - the VEF-202 model from the 60s.
Am si eu un SELENA 211 B l-am cumparat din franta abia astept sa-l repar. Cred ca are electroliticii uscati. Am mai cumparat niste bijuterii de radiouri vechi pe care le-am reparat. Totodada am mai cumparat o bijuterie produsa de Electronica Bucuresti pt francezi are mult praf in el .
Am si eu un radio selena b211 ca al tau dar se aude incet condensatori electrolitici sunt uscați si vreau sa il repat si spre exemplu pe unul din ei scrie 20 MK 12 b ,asta înseamna,

I can hear Romanian medium and even long wave stations at night quite clearly here in Estonia :)

Bună ziua!
Vă spun sincer că nu am intervenit în aparat,nu am găsit nici eu explicația pentru recepția posturilor din banda vest pe banda est.
