I just don’t care for the fact that they are copying *gm* interiors this closely. I mean this is the best interior from Ford currently, don’t get me wrong, it’s just disappointing it originated with their biggest rival _Cadillac._ Wasn’t Ford just indulging in the vertical portrait styled infotainment displays for all of the reasons they gave for why it’s superior?
@@jasperli I’m just speaking on Ford’s design philosophy, that’s all. This literally came out of nowhere, like they saw the new *gm* infotainment systems and had an emergency meeting. It’s corny to copy a direct competitor so closely imo, enough of that coming from Hyundai, Kia, and genesis. Don’t need Ford losing their originality too.
The iPad style center display only works if it’s well integrated. This style is easier to just slap on the dash and have it look fine. The iPad display on the ford explorer is really bad.

Because if so, this Explorer has been on the market since 2022 so it would’ve beat the Escalade to the punch (not to mention that the Escalade isn’t even offered in China). And it wasn’t even GM’s design to begin with. The full dash stretching screen has been on many domestic Chinese cars since 2018. It’s a quirk of the Chinese market and why the 2020 Changan Ford Explorer didn’t come with dials, the Chinese market favours more touchscreens.

Technology is wonderful, design is great. However, Ford sales would improve if the company improved ‘build’ and ‘reliability’ quality.
Theydo that on purpose, cars have not improved much in the past 30 years and many people wouldn't buy a new car unless the old one self destructed.
