Forget about China being bogged down with Korea. The problem with poor India started in 1947 when the British broke your backbone (like the evil Kurus broke the backbone of the glorious Yadavs after the battle of Kurukhetra 1500-1200 bc) by supporting Gandhism while planning killing Shubhash and spinning India into a racist line of self-destruction. Gandhi loved his ideology not his country, while Shubhash loved the country not his ideology. So India got bogged down like Pakistan in fighting each other and forgot to develop. India became subservient to Israel, for technological assistance, while Pakistan was left to lick China's feet.
If you ask me, who contributed most to world civilization, besides India and China, I will name the Greeks along with the Turks with their library at Alhambra, Spain, that went on to liberate the Europeans from the dark ages, when the books in that library were translated to reveal the advances in mathematics, medicine and science in general, which educated Kepler, Copernicus, Galileo, Descartes, Leibniz, Newton, Euler and many others and enlightened the world to produce the modern civilization.
You again resort to the mind set of a loser, when you talk about China fearing India. Try to change this attitude, prosperity is achieved through the Buddhist mind set called Bodhisattva, of nonviolence, human rights, rule of law, kindness etc.

My two cents, Ind pak was a thoroughly planned British insurance policy.
Very few readers would be surprised to know that Ind and pak armies in the 48 'war' were led by British generals. Gen Boucher and Gen Casey. Pak ISI was led by a British Gen till the late 1950s. Where did the divided British Indian Army buy armaments from?, the white masters Britain, France and USA.
Why would the British leave the goose which laid golden eggs year after year? , most are programmed to believe it was due to satyagraha by a London educated lawyer who won zero cases?.
The Brits left India as they were bankrupt. Hitler s armies routed the British in W.Europe and N.Africa. The British borrowed heavily from American Jewish bankers. They could not service the loans. India s wheat granary Punjab was divided, there were massacres on both sides of the border ensuring that the countries utterly hate each other.
The game is on to this very day, India signs 14 billion $ Rafael deal and pak will get a few squadrons of F16s from Americans.
