i remember when i first saw this video years ago when beowolf came out. Now here i am again after watching "Let it go- frozen". I knew she was awesome since i first heard this song
Idina Menzel sings this song really beautifully, not only that but it goes so well with the movie and the story, great job to Idina Menzel and the creators on this amazing song
I'm a big fan of IDINA she's been in all these things I loved when I was a kid,it's like God sent her to me to be a big fan. She was in the wonder pets, enchanted and more! And frozen my fav movie?!! Omg I'm such a big fan,I've been a fan of her sense I was lil some Ppl would say.
Its not fair she has a beautiful voice and a beautiful exterior not to mention her beautiful personality also, Idina please share some of it with me!lol
Sucked? How did it suck? Having read the story myself, I found their take on Beowulf intriguing to say the least. Taking a character originally portrayed as flawless and invincible, and proving by the end that he is still but a man, mortal and vulnerable. I personally consider it an excellent effort. And being a 3D animator in-training myself, I can appreciate the amazing job Sony did at working toward a stylized, yet damn-near photo-realistic CG film. And the song is just excellent.
Kinda neat how the aspects they describe about her voice--vulnerability, innocence, yet still powerful--are the exact same qualities that she brings to Elsa. Man, this was a while back! Funnily enough, Idina was was also in Enchanted--which opened just five days after Beowulf. She didn't sing in that, though.
you should see 13th warrior first... it's also "beowulf" but is more to the epic poem than the movie they did that dee sang for. then watch the movie version
But it's in the beginning of the credits. The song people remember whe they walk out of the theatre(if they can leave while Idina sings). And that last bit of the movie is the most important.
cool song...I just got Beowulfs soundtrack, and it sounds good...and in my opinion thats the best track from the album...and if u take a careful look, the princess looks as the singer :)))
I didn't mean to sound rude... And I understand that it's faster to just type Dee, but it's just a pet peeve and it bugs many fans. I love all the other fanzels, and it was just a friendly suggestion. I apologize if I came off obnoxious, but it's even suggested in the official forum that the fans called her Idina instead of Dee.
I'm not trying to sound mean or anything but notice that she introduces herself as Idina Menzel, not Dee Menzel. She's called Dee by her close friends and family. We're fans, not friends. I'm really not trying to sound obnoxious, but it's kind of a pet peeve of mine. I hope you don't feel like I'm randomly attacking you, but a lot of other fans feel like it's just more respectful to her to call her Idina. Wouldn't you be weirded out if random people called you by your nickname?
i hated the movie personally. i only saw it to hear Idina sing at the credits. i saw it in 3-d that was the only cool part. i thought it was pg-13 cause i got in no problem
Im not saying she didn't do a good job. I just don't think the song has the correct mood with Menzel, as opposed to Penn's version, which was far more appropriate in my opinion.
I like the song a lot. I just don't think that Idina had the right voice for this song. I love Idina, especially in RENT and Enchanted, but this song wasn't really good for her to do her lovely voice justice. It sounds like a cheap pop cover of what could be a much better song. Downrate me if you must. It's just my opinion.
This is one of the most Beautiful songs ever composed.
Epic, like Beowulf.
i remember when i first saw this video years ago when beowolf came out. Now here i am again after watching "Let it go- frozen". I knew she was awesome since i first heard this song
Same here. Just came from the Jimmy Fallon & The Roots version of 'let it go'. Which I highly recommend ;)
Idina Menzel sings this song really beautifully, not only that but it goes so well with the movie and the story, great job to Idina Menzel and the creators on this amazing song
This song describes well the heroes of yesteryear. Whenever I hear it makes me dream, but... always a hero comes home.
She's so awesome! I love her voice so much, she's always so amazing! She's come a long way since her Wicked days, awesome as always!!!
Yeah! We love Elsa!
Idina does this song absoulte justice...couldn't have sung it better. I really love Alan Silvestri's music.
I'm a big fan of IDINA she's been in all these things I loved when I was a kid,it's like God sent her to me to be a big fan. She was in the wonder pets, enchanted and more! And frozen my fav movie?!! Omg I'm such a big fan,I've been a fan of her sense I was lil some

I read somewhere that Idina appreciated that she wasn't cast to sing in Enchanted.
Loved this movie and this song!!!! You rock Idina!
amen to that
"Take heart for when Albion's need is greatest Arthur will rise again" - Merlin
Does this song remind anyone else of King Arthur?
Una obra maestra la de Alan silvestri en beowulf
I can't I saw Bewulf 16 years ago...
you should see 13th warrior first... it's also "beowulf" but is more to the epic poem than the movie they did that dee sang for. then watch the movie version
Anyone perfer Robin's version over Idina? i like it with just Robin and the harp, sounds like an angel.
Both versions have their Merits and personally I love them equally.
Idina's version feels like one sung by Grendel's Mother across a Distant shore.
Exactly
This song is Beowulf I know. But it's always brought Aragorn to my mind.
yea i haven't seen it yet, but i'd only consider going jus to hear her sing lol
wow i didnt realize that was her,
i liked that song.
But it's in the beginning of the credits. The song people remember whe they walk out of the theatre(if they can leave while Idina sings). And that last bit of the movie is the most important.

It's Nancy from Enchanted! Go figure!
Sung by the arctic fox herself, Queen Else of Arendelle. Only this time, she's a Valkyrie.
Yup. This one's supposed to be POWER.
only reason i would see it is this song too!! Mise well just sneak in to the credits
LOL ENYA. Oh that's good. :D
^Oops! I was on my friends account! xD
(This was suppose to go underneath c0ll3g3g1rl1o1's comment...but it ended up here. So, don't pay much attention to this.)
xD

this song well its da sh*t u gota look at FF7
Cute one she got there,it sounds me to sleep, lol.

LOL Wow, that'd be creepy. And people could only leave once the credits ended or they bought one of her CDs.
i hated the movie personally. i only saw it to hear Idina sing at the credits. i saw it in 3-d that was the only cool part. i thought it was pg-13 cause i got in no problem
I agree! The movie was bleugh, but when this song came on, I thought "Wow, finally something good" Too bad it was the credits.
That song was the only good thing about this movie.
Im not saying she didn't do a good job. I just don't think the song has the correct mood with Menzel, as opposed to Penn's version, which was far more appropriate in my opinion.
wtf.....
