Oh the ink spill almost gave me a panic, luckily your hand stopped the splatter from going onto your TN 🙈 I use the bottom of my glass pen to swatch, the smooth glass makes perfect circle swatches (good idea using your glass lid!). I personally love long YT videos, so this was so nice to watch 🫶🏻🫶🏻 My fav inks you swatched are the same as yours, inaho, moonstone (it does look very similar to stone of gion!) and amamoyai~

I'm still new to the FP world and have a TWSBI Eco on the way after hearing how great they are. I've been using Jinhaos and some Lamy knockoffs in medium so far on 160gsm journals and fell in ❤ so can only imagine when I graduate to the ones I've got otw 😊 so much fun

Great video of your inks. My favorites are the Ferris Wheel Press Autumn in Auburn (yummy color) and the Sailor Manyo Yamabuki which is a very close second. You’ve got a nice variety. I started writing with a fountain pen in high school in the early 1960s for shorthand class. My teacher said we had to use either lead pencil or fountain pen but ball point was definitely a no-no. So I told my dad and he took me somewhere to buy a cartridge ink pen. Those were pre- Walmart or any other discount store days, well, there were a few unknown discount stores just starting to show up. My school years were of the individual shops around the court house square. It was fun and a fun time to grow up. No fast foods yet either. Lots of mom and pop grocery stores and places to eat. No chain places yet until my last years of high school when in a nearby city a McDonalds opened up with 15-cent hamburgers that you ordered outside at an order window. Times have changed my friend! ❤️🥰💕🌹🌺🍁🍂🌻

I was a junior in HS when President Kennedy was assassinated and I believe that same year may have been when I bought my very first Beatles album (@ $2.98!) when they were becoming popular in the USA. I bought their first four albums and saved them until I gave them to my college graduate granddaughter about a year or so ago. 🎸🎸🎸🎸 Those McDonalds fries were so good back then. They had the peelings still on them and the ends were pointy rather than chopped squarely off and were served in a little paper sack rather than the cardboard now used. All the burgers I think were standard mustard-catsup-pickle-onion without special order, but that’s so long ago I could be disremembering. I think milkshakes were 15-cents also. I rarely went because it was out of town.
The Quality of your video is Outstanding...but....there is a minor shaking happening in viewing it, in the beginning.. I am leaning towards the PILOT Taka-Sumi cause it dries faster than the others, and it is a pure black ink .

Now all I want are rich browns, greens and grays, all the moody ones for winter, I can never make up my mind 🤭 Yes it does!! I just looked back and it's almost a purple sheen! I'm in love with it even more! Take-sumi was the only black I loved. It's a softer black, I think it looks so nice on cream paper. It just goes so well together😊

I really love you pen & inks collection! My pen collection includes different pens (None of them are gold nib, coz I don't feel the need, AT THE MOMENT... 😉💕) The main part of my collection includes Kaweco (90% = Kaweco Sport, 10% = Other Kaweco models) and TWSBI. I think you def should try the TWSBI Rose Gold line - it's gourgeous & writes like butter. Mind you! I prefer Medium-Broad nibs (and even purchased a few Stub 1.1 nibs). I have the TWSBI Eco in Rose Gold - both in white & smoke, the TWSBI Mini RG and the TWSBI 580 RG II - again, both in white & smoke. Needless to say, it took me quite a while to get all these cuties... 🥰 But at the moment I'm totally satisfy with my collection. The TWSBI's, especially the RG one, are my favorite!
If you are still looking for a "olivy" color, try Graf von Faber Castell "Olive Green". My favourite currently, but be aware it is just a good writing ink with no sheen. It shades nicely, but as I see you liking sheeny multi-color inks it may be to plain and appear boring to you.
Ah yes I do like my chroma shading inks, but I have tons of standard inks. Shading inks are my favorite! I have gone a little ink crazy and purchased quite a few bottles since this video😅 I will definitely add your suggestion to my list, I'm ordering samples soon and can't wait to try it!

They’re all plastic obviously (one of them broke on me) and either too long or too chunky. Plus they really weren’t my style. They’re okay since they’re for beginners like me as some come with different nids and inks. They aren’t bad at all for 5 dollars.
