Geography:
Ainz and his crew live in the Great Tomb of Nazarick which is currently situated in the territory of the Re-estize kingdom where Carne village is. On the map the Re-estize kingdom is to the west, the Baharuth Empire is to the east, and the Slane Theocracy is to the south. The Re-Esitze kingdom and the Baharuth Empire have a lot of animosity towards each other, and you are correct, Ainz believes the attack on the village may have been staged by the other nation the Slane Theocracy to build even more conflict between the two.
