Sometimes you catch the attention of the Feds especially when you travel out of local police jurisdiction alot or you have co-conspirators in different states or counties.... because most of their guys was in a local ganggg and had alot of weight in the county..... They were already being watched by local task force.... they wanted to break up the team and have they way. Majority of the time when it goes Fed its alot of issues with local jurisdiction. Jurisdiction is the key ingredient when prosecuting a case. You cant have an Orange County court prosecuting issues that might have happened in Broward County, others in Duval County, while others were in Georgia.... That type of case will most definitely go Federal. They gangg was plentiful locally. It was enough of them locally to make money within the jurisdiction of Orange County.
